It's a game where you play as a shark; that's why he said that. Yes, you eat people, but that doesn't mean he needs to call it an eat-em-up. Shark-em-up is a way more creative name than just... that.

6:00 Krakatoa is also a volcano, by the way. Which is what the Spongebob episode was referencing. Its eruption in 1883 was the loudest sound in recorded history. The explosion was audible 3,000 miles away. Basically blew up the island it was on, made huge tsunamis, killed over 30,000 people. I think the dust it ejected altered global weather temporarily. It was a big deal.

@@imsharted Yeah I read that too but never looked too far into what that specifically means. Is it simply that the sound (traveling through air) circled the Earth three times, but by that point it was inaudible and was measured by some other empirical means? Because if the sound was measurable at three times the circumference of the Earth (~75,000 miles), I'm surprised that it was only audible as far as 3,000 miles away.

The Krakatoa eruption was 200 megatons of force (i.e. 200 million tons of TNT). For reference, the nuke dropped on Hiroshima was 13 kiltons (13 thousand tons of TNT). Mother nature's scary.

Yeah the SpongeBob raid boss has a purple rarity gun that is also a reference to SpongeBob & Patrick blowing bubbles called the Bubble blaster. And also you can farm it in the bounty of blood dlc in bl3 side mission Dirty Deeds

I like that last one for giving you something for finding the easter egg. I kinda wish more games did stuff like that. If you find an out of the way easter egg give you like a fun skin or exclusive item for finding it. Like imagine in hitman if you found all the pineapple houses and shot them, you unlock a SpongeBob like outfit. Brown short the shirt tie high tube socks. Something a bit more fun.

I'm not sure if you've covered this one yet, but Oldschool Runescape's Guardians of the Rift minigame has the houses of Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward in one of the corners of the area

Fun detail for the game Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. When fighting larger enemies, mini-bosses and main bosses, they will often use special attacks which can be countered using Sheikah Runes with the R button. A spinning enemy or a belly-flopping Hinox can be countered with Stasis, for example. The thing is, Zelda fights using the Sheikah Slate as her main weapon with her attacks being based on using the runes in combos. Sure enough, if you use a combo with a rune intended to counter a forthcoming attack, it will trigger a Weak Point Counter without needing to cast that specific rune with R.

Well if you want a Spongebob easter egg there is a Spongebob easter egg in the Roblox Game Loomian Legacy in the Alantian City Part 2 update in the new route Arinatta Trench in one of the areas there is the classic depiction of a Pineapple, a Moai head and a Rock with a weather vane on it obviously referencing The homes of Spongebob, Squidward and Patrick

For Video Game Easter Eggs/References to other Video Games: In Zombie Army 4's Ragnarok Part 2 DLC during the first "Survive the Ambush" objective, one of the characters, when giving story exposition about the beginning of the universe, says the line "In primordial space, timeless creatures made waves." This is referencing the exact same line from Marathon 2 of the famous Marathon series. (I will keep posting this until it shows up or get some form of acknowledgement, just to be sure.)

The Borderlands 3 one is actually a triple reference, fittingly enough! Firstly it obviously references SpongeBob, with the name and pineapple hut and appearance. Secondly, his name being changed to "SpongeBoss" is a reference to a rapper of the same name, who uses gangster-fied SpongeBob imagery. And thirdly, he is a literal _bullet sponge,_ being both a pun on sponge(bob) and a reference to him taking a lot of damage to put down.

Appreciate their supposed love for the show, but I would've them being more on the Seasons 1 to 4+The Movie side for quality assurance's sake. And in the meantime, wish more devs actually embrace their fandomery (that a word?) and duly reference Star Wars Legends, Satoshi Kon anime like Millennium Actress and Paranoia Agent, The Boondocks, LucasArts puzzle adventures, the DC Animated Universe, Babylon 5 up to Season 4 and "Sleeping in Light", FreeSpace, Command and Conquer up to Generals or Tiberium Wars, Disney's Gargoyles up to Season 2, Studio Gainax anime like FLCL and Gurren Lagaan, good old Futurama up to Season 4 again... oh, and we already have yellow sponges. Pineapples should suffice for rewards, haha. Addendum: And cool to see Big Bird again.
