No Dom recieved the Embry Star for taking down an enemy chimera helicopter with his lancer from a boat and then pulling gears out of the water and driving the boat into a King Raven with Colonel Hoffman aboard. Carlos Santiago recieved the Embry star for giving his life to hold a bridge while the rest of C company was extracted along wth Bernie and Marcus Fenix. And just for the record Marcus Fenix recieved his Embry Star for jumping into an enemy vehicle and using the cannon to take out the UIR antiaircraft vehicles and a helicopter that was shooting at Dom And Colonel Hoffman over the ocean. Anya Stroud recieved her mom's Embry Star which was earned when Helena Stroud jumped on to an enemy tank and dropped 3 grenades inside when she went to jump off the tank her armor webbing got caught on the tank and she died while Anya was in the command center listening. Hoffman also recieved an Embry star during this mission. And if you dont know already the battle of Aspho fields was to take the hammer of dawn from the UIR so the COG could deploy it first and win the war. Marcus buried his in Carlos's grave. Carlos's medal was given to his parents who died along with Dom's kids. Dom traded his for legal help trying to get Marcus out of the slab. Hoffman gave his to Bai Tak's widow (because paisang troops were not eligible for the medal) and Anya kept hers and put it away so no one could look at it. If you want to know more lore the books are great reads and give you a better picture of the Gears universe.

I know, right? It's a testament to the writing. No matter if a character had a small role, their death was usually memorable. It's all the more tragic seeing the young ones like Ben go.

It’s nothing like gears 4.... strangely, I prefer gears 4 campaign. Gears 5 was very easy and didn’t have many epic battles. It definitely had the least amount of action. And the driving around the desert was just pointless and not needed in my opinion. I don’t want Gears to be open world.

Leo Enduro the berserker was way too easy. Just shoot some ice. And the final boss fight... I didn’t even know it was the final boss fight. It didn’t feel like one. I expected more. In gears 4 there were several big battles where you had to defend a spot, regroup and get attacked again. Big bad enemies coming at you over and over. And it was rough. There didn’t feel like much of this in gears 5. I barely died on my first play through. The bit where you had to lay the beacon was like that, and that was great, but that was about it. I don’t remember any other part of the game that felt like that. Gears 5 really didn’t have many big battles at all.

@@brandonscott5512 I know Anthony's was short and was a quick death but it was a surprise to see it happen so quickly then you realize he was someones brother to feel connected to family member is enough to be connected to all of them.

@@sirchalky7952 true it was a sting to see Anthony's and a couple references of his death in GOW2 but Bens still hit the hardest he was a rookie who just wanted to help do his part in the war and delta and his family proud

@@brandonscott5512 They were all rookies but yeah Ben is the most lovable because of how young and bold he was, he tried his hardest to become what Clay is now but knowing that all that pain from his death is not just inflicted towards Clay but to us also and now that Lizzie is gone, a Carmine we knew her shorter than Anthony, that had a large impact towards Carmine fans and to think how Clayton has been through not just his brothers but now his niece. I can feel how Clay is. I play him every gears game knowing that every Grub, Lambent or Swarm I kill it's towards his vengeance for his Family.
