Definitely, it's important to look good, not even for other people but for yourself you know, for your own self-esteem so that you think more highly of yourself and have respect for yourself that will help immensely in how you deal with other people. The fakest stereotype i feel about "Gymbros" is that they do it for girls or because they are vain, no they do it for themselves and yes there is an element of vanity involved but i think it's a healthy vanity, it's a "i wanna be the best i can be and be proud of the guy i see in the mirror" kind of vanity which i'm all in favour of so yeah, Zyzz will live forever and we're all gonna make it brahs

I have been homebound for over 4 years with chronic pain conditions and despite continuous dedication in finding and implemening solutions for my health issues my situation has not changed but only worsen. I found over these years I naturally developed a stoic nature or philosophy when confronting the wretched pain and limitations of my day to day existence and can testify practising stoicism is a valuable mindset for the harsher realities of life such as sickness and death. Loved your experiment and visuals, your life is a real adventure.

To control impulses(even when you have a choice to not),the art of loving to live with less or even least, the beauty of being indifferent to suffering just as much as to joy , considering death as a part of life ! These are few things I have learnt from Marcus Aurelius and you summed it up pretty well ! 👍🏻 :) The edit at the end, cinematic 💫

Stoic philosophy and crossfit have had an extraordinary impact on my mental health. My perspective, my energy, my gratitude, and my mental acuity have all improved drastically. It requires constant work, and I on occasion have relapsed into depression once more, but those relapses are much, MUCH fewer and farther between. And as I write this at my desk in my home office, I have a bust of Marcus Aurelius mounted on the wall gazing down upon me, and to whom I often look when thinking "What would _you_ do in this situation?" And I've studied so much of his work and that of the other great Stoic philosophers, that I can answer that question on his behalf with great confidence. The secret is to remember to ask that question when the need arises.

For a year and a bit, I suffered terrible anxiety - I could barely go to the Post Box a few feet away from my house without feeling faint. I always had awful thoughts about illness, death, bad things happening to my loved ones (or just people in general). Alongside my Faith, I read deeply into stoicism (which was used as a basis for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). I practiced, I read widely, I journalled, and I picked myself up every time I had a bad day. Fast forward to the present - I went to Rome on my own (I live in London), a whim out of nowhere whilst I had to use up my holiday days. I had my breakfast coffee sitting on the steps of the Capitoline Hill Museum - it was a gorgeous day, and I was thinking how far I'd come. I saw the statue of Marcus Aurelius and felt a sense of accomplishment.

I've been doing this from past two months and didn't even realize it was Markus Aurelius's daily routine. 😅 I picked up this habits from multiple sources. I didn't imagine myself becoming ghost rider in mirror though, I only write a question what if this is the last day of my life? (and it doesn't really work) but I really like journaling every day and deciding what the day is gonna be like, eating a frog and reflecting about the day in night journal. Great video kaptaan. 👍 BTW when is pomegranate crisis video coming?

Very inspiring video, great stuff for sticking to the challenge! I also have a great fear of ageing and death, in my early 30s struggling a bit with the transition to full on adulthood, knowing I’m just about holding onto some youth but a few more years and it’ll be gone and I feel like I didn’t make the most of it at all. So I’m in the zone of thinking that I really have to make the next few years count, go after my dreams and make sure I do as much stuff as I want to while I’ve still got some youthful energy left to fully enjoy it. Been meaning to read Meditations for a long time, this is the inspiration I needed and might try put it in to practice and see what difference it makes for me. Thanks!

I remember really being into Marcus' "Meditations" when I read it a month ago. Unforntunately, it seems like I forgot a lot of what he was saying. Luckily, I saw this video and it weirdly made me nostalgic for how I used to view my life. I'm gonna try reading "Meditations" here and there so that I can keep Aurelius' wisdom with me. Honestly, his journal entries helped me so much, especially in accepting what I can't control. Additionally, I don't fear death like I used to. In fact, I feel like I live more every day. When you begin to truly understand how little time you have left, every second matters a bit more. Live with intention and you'll find happiness in this painful world.

Great reflections here, especially loved 04:58… reminds me of the saying “how you do anything is how you do EVERYTHING”… it’s all down to the small things in life. Someone I know once said “it even goes down to the state of the underwear you wear”… and there’s truth to this. Your underwear is something pretty much only you see (and then some), and what state you keep these small, unseen things in can be a reflection of how you take care of all the other (bigger) things in life. Who knew. There’s definitely some truth to that!

Bro the first video I watched from you was on Stoicism during the start of the pandemic last year. I went down the rabbit hole after that. Thanks, man! Also, I didn't know you quit your job. Congrats!

So glad I stumbled onto your video channel! You have inspired me to make my own 30 day plan. Forgive me but I am sensing one flaw in this philosophy. Amidst all of the self-improvement, is there a space for giving of oneself to help others?

Great video, the editing is getting a lot better! It's given me a lot to think about, and inspiration to put this challenge in practice. I need to refine my disciplines and productivity, especially journalling. Nice job, keep up the good work!

Love your content. It's a cool feeling to also be on a development journey and feel like, in watching your content, like in a way we're doing it together even though we've never met. Probably what a lot of your fans feel, I imagine. When the going is tough with this stuff, it's nice not to feel alone in the struggle.
