They did SUCH a great job with the ancient cities. The only thing in Minecraft and one of the few video game things that actually scares me and gets my heart rate up. The sound and darkness and everything done so well

Tip for the ancient city searching: On the "noise router" line of F3 menu, watch your E value. If it is around -0.6 theres is a very good chance there's an ancient city if you dig straight down. They also will never spawn in/near oceans.

For the mushroom island, in the future, you can pillar up to isolate passive mob spawns to try to get more to populate

You have to have a light level of 10 for mooshrooms to spawn, I believe. They will never spawn at night.

Minecraft Wiki says light level 9 is enough, but who knows.

But they don't spawn, they get generated with world generation, at any light level. For new ones to spawn, you'd have to clear your spawn chunks of all friendly mobs.

finally caught up for the most part!!!! if you see this, captainsparklez, thanks for making this series its taken my mind off things this week so thank you! i haven't watched you for a long time i started sometime after 2020. i always thought minecraft was dumb asn corny as a kid so i never watched you or any minecraft until i was a bit older. but even though im not a hardcore og fan i like your videos a lot and i wish i could watch all of them and understand you and like you more. i wish i watched you as a kid tbh lmao. i wish you the best jardon!!!!

I have zero issue getting cats of any sort to come to me if I wait. Zero issue. Jardon… my dude. Relax 😂 Don’t overthink it. Edit: ImpulseSV is a pro at getting a ghast over from the nether. He did it and propped it in a minecart and put it in a bubble outside of FalseSymmetry’s base. Find it on his HC S9 if you ever have to do this again. 😊

You dont really need wool for ancient city, just make tons of fireworks and keep flying and break shreiker spawner and loot. Thst is the best way to look and not get killed.

I think CaptainSparkles should take a crack at modded MC again. Too many people doing vanilla these days and hes still able to bring in views. I mean I think at the end of the day he is most remembered for his Vanilla Into Modded letsplay he did.

your base isn't in spawn chunks, they're unloaded and so the ghast instantly despawns. you need to go to spawn chunks or name the ghast before it goes through 22:14
