Regarding ads: Google is very happy to take money to shill blatant scams, viruses, and all other nasty things. The company is first and foremost a digital STD distributor at this point. There's a reason they got rid of the "don't be evil" tagline. The FBI of all things advised internet users to use ad blockers for their own safety. I'm simply not willing to sacrifice my own safety for some greedy corporation that hates its users. Especially when the option is there to cut out the middle-man and support creators that I want to support directly. When I send a creator $10, that's probably more than they'll ever get from any ad revenue I'd generate. I'm going to attribute the lack of the entire context of the situation to ignorance (not an insult, everybody ignorant on some things because it's impossible to be informed on literally everything) on your part as opposed to malicious omission of information, because you were very upfront with the bias you hold and I appreciate the honesty and transparency. With the full context of the situation, which was not presented here, frankly, it's foolish not to use ad blockers on the modern internet. Especially when uBlock Origin is so effective. That extension has saved me so many headaches since I started installing it on my family members' computers. Regarding premium: Firefox mobile has an add-on that continues to play videos, including YT videos, when your phone screen is off. Also uBlock Origin is available on the mobile version as well.
