Hey beautiful people. Thanks for the responses and the kind words and the critiques. I feel like I have to say this cause I can’t reply to everyone complaining about this lol. I have adhd so I can’t wait until I finish the movie to talk, because I forget everything soon as the thought leaves my head , there are plenty of other KZfaqrs with different reactions that have other content if you don’t like it you are free to go and watch there’s but this is how I react. My patreon is also better for that content , Again thanks for your comments and I love that you’re here !

Can I suggest that after you record and edit your reaction to a movie you go to other reaction channels doing the same movie, pick out the one you enjoyed the most and figure out how they edited compared to yours. I like your commentary, but there are so many plot moments left out that the reaction feels disjointed and random. Something to think about.

Also, when he first says i can do this all day as pre super solider serum he uses the trash can lid as a shield. Later after getting the SSS and he chases the hydra agent. He holds that taxi door like a shield. ..it has a star on the centre....like his shield. So much foreshadowing

"What makes you so special?" "Nothing. I'm just a kid from Brooklyn." This is kind of a theme in Marvel comics, and it's a lesson we need in the world right now. The villains are people who think the world owes them power because they are special, while the heroes are constantly trying to prove that they deserve the power that they have.

32:20, Schmitt was probably in excellent health when he took the serum. Steve was in crappy health when he took his version of the serum. I've heard that the healthier you are the serum and the vita ray treatment focuses more on enhancing you above normal than in repairing you to bring you up to normal. So Red Skull may have Cap a little on the strength area. After the What If episode you mentioned online a lot of people believe that because Captain Carter started out at a normal height and health, she wound up being stronger and taller than Captain America.

Vincent D'onofrio played Edgar. The human who got skinned by an alien and put Edgar's skin on like a suit. I do too know about Men In Black. 😂. "More sugar!" You might want to look into flying taxi cars. There are several companies working on them at this very moment. So a few years down the line, I am not gonna be surprised when they become reality. Imagine floating buoys in the sky for air traffic lanes...that is coming. Lol 🤣 Back to the future got delayed but it's going to get here eventually. 😊 The scene where Haley Atwell (Peggy Carter) touches Chris Evan's chest...was not in the script. She said she could not help herself. Lol 🤣 Dr. Erskine's demise was straight out of the comics. That's what actually happened. 😮 In the comics Bucky was Cap's sidekick. They were trying to defuse a German V2 rocket and Bucky got stuck to the rocket as it launched. Either way...R.I.P. Bucky. 🪦 Actually the X-Men jet is based off of the Lockheed Martin SR-71 Blackbird spy plane. Look up the Blackbird and compare. There are some artistic differences but you can see the resemblance. 😅 Dr. Erskine explained that the serum gave more than just strength...it also amplified who you are...bad becomes worse, good becomes great. Johann Schmidt was selfish and greedy and his head was disfigured as the serum alone was not stabilizing. Steve Rogers got both the super soldier serum and irradiated with Vita Rays completed the transformation. I would say Steve's transformation was more complete so I think he is somewhat stronger than the Red Skull. But that is just my opinion on that.

Great reaction, Howie. I get why you have some reservations about this movie, but rest assured, some of the story choices are about setting things up for the future, and some are about being faithful to the source material. Losing Bucky twice seems a little shallow, but the rescue is about Steve becoming Captain America, and losing him on the train is about reminding Steve that the people around him are human and the cost of War. Steve might have become overconfident in his successes otherwise. As for Red Skull, his serum was just as potent, but it came with an undesirable physical transformation and madness. Erskine was still learning that the serum was an amplifier of the mental and emotional, not just the physical when Schmidt used it to become the Red Skull. As for Red Skull's defeat, unlike DC films, the MCU tries not to kill off their major villains so they can be used again. Sadly, Hugo Weaving had no desire to return to the role of Johann Schmidt.

The reason the MCU wasn't rushed is because it was preceded with decades of failure and scattered success. They started with Iron Man who was very much a C tier hero at the time, and so low risk if it failed. When Iron Man succeeded they didn't have a plan to capitalize, and they were very aware that they didn't own the rights to their most popular characters so they had to take the time to introduce less known characters like Captain America... a title held by many characters with many origin stories. Same for Thor. Unlike Batman & Superman characters whose origin is known even outside nerd culture.

Captain America's super soldier program is called "Project Rebirth". It is the first project in the "Weapons plus program". Wolverine is "Project Weapon X" (Roman Numeral 10) from the weapons plus program. The weapons plus program has a long morally horrific history as a shadow organization within the US government, and it's Allies. After the "failure" of project rebirth only creating 1 super soldier, the government became obsessed with replicating the serum, or some other way of getting super soldiers. Also, each project isn't necessarily just one person. The project can be a strategy and multiple people are the test subjects for that same strategy. Weapon X includes Wolverine, and anyone who has powers based off his genetics.

Love that you are taking the MCU journey and sharing it with us, I have been a comic book fan for like 46 plus years now, Thor was the first Comic I got my Mom to buy me, once I saw you Reacting to Ironman I subscribed to your channel here. I would like to give you some advice if that is okay. I follow 324 different channels most of which are Reaction channels and in my opinion I think that the best channels that do reactions run by a certain formula, the best ones start out with like a 3 minute intro, then they start the movie (or music video or tv show) and then they react more by facial expressions or deep breaths or "OMG, DID THAT JUST HAPPEN" not every scene needs a verbal comment or a review while watching it, watch the movie, react while it's happening and save the last 5 minutes for a closing review of how you liked the movie. I noticed that for this 2 hour and 4 minute long movie you made a 38 minute and 42 second reaction video for it, but I would say that only 15 minutes of this movie was actually played with the remaining 23 minutes was you commenting (plus this is the MCU there are people that love the Marvel and hate DC, might be a good idea not to compare the 2 companies while watching a Marvel movie you might lose some big Marvel fans, I love both but I am a bigger Marvel fan myself). Also when it comes to editing, when you cut out so much and choose certain parts and you cut out punchlines or big wow moments people are waiting to see how you react to their favorite parts and when you skip that part completely those people tend to not like that so choose carefully what you put in. Something else that some people do is flip the picture so it is backwards thinking this will help keep the video from getting taken down (more people don't do this) I worked in movie theaters for 17 years, I was a projectionist I made sure you have a great picture, in focus, sound great, in frame etc... there are so many people who have seen these movies and when reactors flip the picture it throws them off mentally/visually cause our brains tell us something is wrong then when we see a written word backwards we are like "oh, that's what it is" but for the rest of the movie we keep reminding ourselves that this isn't right. Sorry to go so Simon Cowell on you but I want to keep following you so I thought I might give some advice to help. I like your movie picks though bro.

It's funny that you mentioned those three things you didn't like about this movie. Without getting spoiler-y specific, two of those things get paid off later in the MCU and the third is STILL a running joke among MCU/Captain America fans. lol In the comics the Red Skull was Captain America's first arch nemesis. It would be nearly impossible to set Cap's movie in that 1940s time frame without him. Despite how silly of a character he is, I think they did a great job with him in this movie.

12:31 you’ll find out later in the movie that Schmidt was a test subject for a previous form of the super soldier serum and it could be said that he had a evil personality that only wanted power which is why Erskine didn’t want the soldier that Colonel Phillips wanted him to use. 15:35 you’d know if you were in an MRI machine. Over the years I’ve developed massive claustrophobia and can’t be in one without being heavily drugged cause your face is almost touching the top of the tube. 18:05 he killed Erskine so he couldn’t recreate the serum for the US. 22:17 another Gold Star on his record. 26:56 it was also the way that Stark said it. He made it sound sexual. 28:16 I never ask that question until I see a sequel or another movie in the universe. If they don’t come back in another movie then I’m curious.

I recommend taking notes of things you want to talk about as you watch so you can see your notes at the end of the movie and talk about all of it at the end of the video. You have a habit of cutting out a lot of the major plot points and highlights of not only this movie but other movies as well There’s a reason people watch reaction videos- because we like to watch the big moments in the movie If you keep cutting them out- it doesn’t make it as fun for us to watch Another problem you have is that you keep trying to compare one movie to the other or keep saying that Iron Man is the best It really doesn’t matter- it’s all Marvel and you’ll see that eventually They all fit into this universe and there’s just no need to compare They all have their own flavor and you’ll get to each one for what they are It’s not better or worse- although lots of people feel that way It’s just that each character has their own strengths and weaknesses and that’s what makes this team so relatable They’re just like real people Just appreciate it!!! That being said- Marvel has simply blown DC out of the water DC trying to follow suit is just embarrassing I wish they would just stop I liked Man of Steel and BvS but everything after that has just been terrible I can’t even bring myself to watch any of their stuff unless it pops up on Netflix or something Just saying What Marvel did was break records There’s a reason for that So just watch the movie from beginning to end and just enjoy the ride

I am absolutely here to hear your thoughts, may I recommend that you pause less? That seems to be when you monologue and aren’t reacting to the movie anymore. Maybe watch the movie and react, comment on the movie while it plays, and at the end hit us with your thoughts and feelings about the film. Just a suggestion, I wish you well.

Hey thanks for the response I have adhd so I can’t wait until I finish the movie because I forget everything soon as the thought leaves my head , there are plenty of other KZfaqrs with different reactions that have better content if you don’t like it you are free to go and watch there’s but this is how I react. Again thanks for your comment

@@HoodieHowie As a fellow ADHDer, your comment is SO relatable. Btw, I follow a TON of reactors precisely *because* they each have something different to offer. If I didn’t want added commentary or different cut, I’d just go watch the actual movie 🎥

I don't know how versed you are in American comic book nonsense, so forgive me if any of this is a rehash for you. The comic book superhero was created in what we call the "golden age" by artists and writers who were mostly the sons of immigrants, most of whom were Jewish. The comic book superhero genre is basically them trying to process what was going on in Germany at the time. Remember that the next time someone complains about modern comic books being "woke." They were always "woke" (or at least tried to be, there's been plenty of stumbling along the way). This is why Superman fought the KKK in the golden age. This is why Wonder Woman taught girls that women can have power without men. This is why Captain America was depicted punching Hitler on his premier issue (this was before America joined WW2). In the Golden Age, Captain America was pure propaganda. The whole point of his character was to convince America to join the war on the side of the Allies. The war bonds section of this movie is basically a nod to that. After WW2, Captain America fell out of favor in the comic books, but they brought him back in the 1960s to comment on the debates going on around. In this new incarnation, he was brought back through the "frozen in ice" story so that he could comment on the Vietnam War debates going on. Many of the pro-war side of that argument were invoking patriotism, but making arguments that were at odds with American values. Marvel decided that Steve Rogers was a character who could deliver criticism that they would accept. This has been the function of the Steve Rogers character ever since, and this is the version of Steve Rogers you will see in the MCU after this movie. He exists to deliver criticisms to jingoists that they would not accept from anyone else. The second and third Captain America movies do this very well. For example, Winter Soldier is basically a metaphor for government surveillance in a post-9/11 America.

Touching on your opinion of Justice League, while the "Snyder cut" is technically better than the theatrical cut, that doesn't EXACTLY make it good. Example: diarrhea is technically better than pooping blood, but neither is actually good. It depends on which type of BM you'd prefer over the ONLY other option. 🤷🤷

27:14, love this movie. Hate this scene. I'm a strong believer in the 2nd amendment and responsible gun ownership/safety. Taking a gun and shooting at someone because you are upset isn't cute. It's reckless and psychotic. Steve did nothing he needed to be shot at for.

I’m having a good time watching, I watch a lot of reaction channels and your a pausing Perry 😭 This is more of a commentary than reaction, I understand you’re an average viewer but you’re missing a lot of the plot in movies. Keep up the good work though. Example watch Alex Hefner, an example of talks to much. For an intelligent reactor, check out Verowak Reacts
