"I take what the wood gives me" ...spoken from a true wood craftsman. Cuz you could have an image in your head on how you want said bowl to look, it doesn't matter how many times you try, if the wood doesn't want to give then you ain't gonna get! So the sentence "I take what the wood gives me" is perfectly said. You have beautiful work here capt.

Love these things you and your daughter are doing, I started with ceramics, then we to stain glass, then trying fused glass and now fuse and freeze and I have tons of float glass.

What would happen if you melt feldspar with glass in a microwave kiln? Sorry if it is a dumb question.

Can you fire the pieces of glass twice or more in the microwave kiln?

Glass can be fire as many times as needed.

I just started fusing in microwave kiln yesterday. 1800 watt. But can not find a time that works. Any suggestions

For glass start in 3 minute increments. It ususally takes me aboyt 15 minutes to get a full fuse. Actually for clay I do the same thing. The slower rise in temps will help if the clay is prone to cracking. You will have to experiment as where you live, materials and atmospheric onditions could all play a part.
