Join me on an enchanting journey through the Lake District as I venture into the woods, chasing the mesmerizing evening light that bathes the woodland around Rydal Water lake. Armed with my trusty Canon EOS 5D Mark II, I embark on an unforgettable photography session, capturing the ethereal glow as it dances upon the trees. Witness the magic unfold as I showcase the beauty of nature in golden hues. It all started with a pricey portion of chips that cost me £4! But the resulting shots were worth every penny! Don't miss this visual feast of woodland photography at its finest.

You can’t always be gifted with a batch of great images however I agree 4.30 image is actually very good so not a complete waste of time. And you had a great walk!!

The images are beautiful, what you have defined by the idea of three-dimensional image as a whole is beautiful, but also the others, and even the location is not bad, curiosity, I had never seen so much humus gently covering such a large portion of roots that branch off on the surface.

Such a wonderful fern forest. No waste of my time when I get to view such marvelous landscapes. Great work on the trees, and especially the moss covered roots...wonderful! Bruce and Otis

After the ferns, I had to do an extensive Tick search that night.

@@andrewfindlayphoto Indeed, I know the feeling...they seem to hide everywhere on poor Otis...and trying to find them all in his thick fur is an adventure in itself! lol

You talk on rhe phone like I do... pacing back and forth and here and there 😂 I really enjoyed the 2nd photo at 4:30, but you're right, the images got better as the light softened a bit. That 2nd to last image was wonderful. Always enjoy a good look around as well. Watching you walk through those tall ferns was fun! Hope you are doing well, have a great rest of the week!

We always need more time. But the light on compositions was so fleeting and I was doing the running round like a headless chicken to provide content. The problem with the ferns, I had to do an extensive Tick search that night. None that night 😮

You can't win them all, Andrew. The second to last image could have come straight out of the 5D Classic. The colours were amazing. One question I have always wanted to ask is have you ever owned/used a tilt shift lens? I own a 45mm version which if used with the shift left and right, can produce a 24mm image when merged in software. Control in lens is great for correcting leaning trees etc.

Yes the colours and contrast where well balanced for the classic. I've never owned a shift lens. But I have used and still have a 4x5 Monorail camera with a 70mm. You can get crazy straight perspective 😁
Wait for the last one! 👀
