Great images and wonderful video. I am running out of words to properly let you know how much I enjoy these videos. You are absolutely correct about how Short-eared Owls fly, very similar to a butterfly or moth. Because of this, when I approach the area I look for the steam from the refinery in Anachortes, you could see it in your sunset video. If the steam is going out at an angle, I look for birds other than owls.
