This Dewalt 1500psi 2gpm rated electric pressure washer delivers powerful performance at a reasonable price for an industrial grade unit. I found this unit on the Home Depot website and ordered it so I could test the real world usable performance numbers. It missing one key feature that I wish it had, but it still packs in a ton of value for a serviceable unit that can be used professionally without worry. Yes it is serviceable. It's a rebranded Simpson (AAA Pump) SE61297. It's my boat washer and I removed the thermal protector and plugged up the low pressure side and added a pressure switch on the high side after the unloader.

Thanks for the review. That FNA Group page states they're "headquartered" in Wisconsin. Nowhere does it say that it's actually manufactured in the USA. If it was, they'd be sure to brag about that.

It looks really good for the price. A lot of people will be turned off because of the lack of TSS. Looks like a work horse .

Now this DeWalt is a real P/W. The only square they didn't check was the Total Stop System TSS, and they're being made by a manufacturer that could have easily done that. So, DeWalt must have forgotten to request this spec. So then the question begs to be asked... how much heat builds up because of the continuous running of the motor? I hope DeWalt sees your review and gets all fired up about that shipping box. I would send it back for another, just to see if the replacement DeWalt P/W shuts off. I receive cheap P/Ws (< $100.00) that are double-boxed to review. Note: I received my order from your store today (that was very fasttttttt). Thank you for deburring the PF22 upgrade bottle, works fantastic and is so much nicer. Great review

It has a unloader that will bypass from high pressure to low pressure and secondary thermal relief (that yellow piece that sticks out on the right side of the pump head)

I was exacted to see in action this pressure washer unit untilllll It does not have a total stop system which it sad. But still looks pretty good unit. Will keep an eyes on it. Thanks Josh. Well done!

You can add a 1/4" pressure switch, which the dumb-dumbs call a "total stop system". It takes 15 minutes to wire it up.

Hey Josh, thank you once again for a well done video. I'm in the market for a new pressure washer. Not sure which one I'll get yet, but this is certainly a contender. The one thing I didn't see a link for on this video or the presser water upgrades video were the different nozzles used. I just purchased a 2024 X5M in frozen black and as you may already know these BMW's have tremendous amount of break dust, but I also want to be safe with the paint. Any help or a point in any direction for the nozzles would be helpful.

I have an Active 2.0 and love it but have you seen the new BigBoi WashR Pro? - brushless induction motor with Triplex pump and auto-start-stop. They also have deionized water systems coming soon.

Please review Canpump 311301 its $665 US with better specs. 2.2 gpm at 1500psi rated and can get wall mounted or cart mounted.

Could be a good option for some. Thanks for review. I can’t believe no total stop. I don’t want to listen to it the whole time or my neighbors. It seems like it maybe wouldn’t last as long cause it’s always running??? Not sure.

Can you tell me your favorite pressure washer, overall. You are so diplomatic it's hard to tell. Smaller is better, car use, with some other uses from time to time, portable is important to move around the house, don't mind pulling it off the cart to carry around. I don't care for a large cage and contraption that takes up space. Your help appreciated.

It's extremely quiet though, and the tss does give some lag when you pull the trigger. Seems like a fair trade to me.

This model comes with an unloader valve pre installed which recycles the water while you are not pulling the trigger. This prevents wear on parts from constantly trying to build pressure when not in use. Also can get a remote outlet that you can turn on and off from wherever.

So just add on? It's a $40 part plus some spade connectors. Not rocket surgery. This is a rebranded Simpson SE61297, which is what I use to wash my sailboat at my slip.

@@cristianboivin5832 it has a thermal protector... that yellow/orange piece that sticks out on the low pressure side of the pump head. I removed it, plugged it up and added a pressure switch on the high pressure side just after the unloader.

Hi Josh, I purchased the DeWalt machine in this video, and I tried to upgrade to the Uberglex hose you highly recommend, but I could not use the McKillans quick connect kit. Can you confirm weather the hose and quick connect kit can work with this machine? Thank you!!!

I love these videos when you review stuff. The only part of the video I don't watch is when you do the pressure and how much psi all I care about is how it works and how it performs. Just tell us how it did and show us you using it that's all we really need to see

Hey Josh -- how does 'variable' GPM work for some of these pressure washers? I've always gone by 2.0gpm is the target for foam cannon usage, but Greenworks Pro 2700 (Model GWP2700) is a "Powerful residential electric pressure washer with 2700 MAX PSI, 2.3 MAX GPM (GPM ranges from 1.2 GPM to 2.3 GPM with included nozzles)"

Hi ! I want to buy a amp draw meter but when I check yours on Amazon it’s rate for 15amp and less … if I’m already plugged in a a 20amp breaker will it work ? Because it’s to measure my amp for my active 2.3 thanks !

By any chance have you tested the Mi-t-m 1400psi pressure washer? Specs seem very similar to this one and Ferguson has it priced at about $450. I would like to see it tested gravity fed to see how much the psi is affected.

what is the difference between the dewalt 1500 psi 2.0 gpm and the dewalt 3000 psi 1.0 gpm? which is a better choice does the gpm mean more then the psi?

How about testing the draw using one of your decent foam cannons and better trigger with hose. I get the out-of-box testing. But you would swap those things out anyway. I'm not trying to tell a grown man what he should do. Nor do I have a sense of entitlement. Foam cannons put more of a load on the motor. Why they wouldn't incorporate a pressure switch (total stop) is a headscratcher. Unless the windings and switch aren't worth the different country's standards. I'm also going to assume this unit will be rebadged for several different brands.

The AAA pump on that unit is a trapped pressure system meaning when your off the trigger its cycling water inside round and round getting hotter and hotter from friction until you either release it by pulling handle again, it pops the thermal relief valve, or it flat out destroys itself internally ruining seals from to much heat (cold water pressure washer remember!?). These pumps lack a bypass which allows pressurized water to be directed away from the pumps internal seals. You only have 30sec to 2min tops of off the trigger before your destroying your unit internally. No TSS option really makes this garbage imo for detailing unless you plan to run the electrical motor on a remote on/off and press it everytime you stop or you could run an inline ball valve to disconnect you hose and let it run full flow gpm low pressure while open on the ground until your ready to quickly close it off and connect a pressure gun to use it again.

That's usually for the unloader.( what he's describing as pressure regulater)..which on most gas pressure washers is replaceable. The unloader allows the machine to go into bypass mode when not using/ pulling trigger

Low end universal motor axial/wobble pumps you get at home depot will last about 100hrs. This is a lower end triplex pump, specifically a Simpson/AAA Model 90036/90037 it's probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000hrs.

For that price..... I would look at other brands. It's half the price as a Kranzle yes kranzle is expensive but the quality is insane and worth the money. Dewalt isn't what it used to be in quality
