Car turns off while driving and its very dangerous, especially on snow conditions or rainy weather, Its a simple and affordable fix, but if the problem gets ignored it can turn very expensive or deadly!!!
For the year 2001 #Nissan Sentra 1.8L there is a service bulletin. Do to a bad #ckp sensor (crank shaft position sensor)

I have same car wont start unless obd2 is plugged in. Unplug and engine shuts off...any ideas

to gain access to pry out the sensor, you must take out the starter, 3 bolts, and the reinforcement bar, 2 bolts, in between intake manifold and engine block. then use a crow foot to pry out slowly the sensor without breaking the plastic. That rubber O-ring puts a lot of resistance to pull it out, and to push it in. Grease a little bit the O-ring to easy the assembly in.

Why did you use a different engine to show where it goes? Totally different motor.

@@blaidirmejia3949 was just the alternator, the first big chain shop i went to out of desperation didn't have a clue- my regular shop knew almost right away!
