You gotta cut back on other luxuries if you want extra money to mod cars, stuff like buying a second hand phone instead of new and not partying / drinking every week. Its not the most expensive thing to do, several of my friends spend more on cigarettes alone a week than i do on cars.

You are absolutely right about doing the upgrades one at a time, I'm doing my suspension components right now and then I'm saving for the brake setup before I put the forged internals, Y8 head, intake manifold, 70mm throttle body, 550cc fuel injectors, ramshorn exhaust manifold, 68mm turbo, teensy 4.1 Speeduino and other parts into my build....

Excellent advice regarding tires. Brakes will win or lose an event. Crucial. As is a tune on a given car, especially when dealing with forced induction. On a turbocharged car I'd strongly suggest T-bolt clamps. A performance alignment is important, assuming the car's geometry is intact. The favorite mod on my Evo is a trunk net - prevents supermarket items from turning into cruise missiles on the way home. If your car was optimized from the factory, think twice before modding anything. Good luck.

Good tips Alex. I learned on my previous car/97 Pontiac gtp I did a few engine mods and never got a proper tune. Had lots of issues, I never fixed them. Lol wish I did. Something I've learned. My 04 gtp I have now I'm waiting till I have all the parts I need to mod it. Taking my time

I’m currently working on my 16’ Rio, by no means is it fast but I’m planning to upgrade the brakes/lines, wheels and tires, small amount of lowering done, strut bar and rear 6 point tie bar brace to stiffen it up and give it a stiffer ride and reduce the chassis flex. It’s a daily driver and I love how casual it is. Plus the mpg is around 34 avg which is cool for daily driving. Fi is the shit! Keep up the great content. 🙏

I would recommend driving your car for a bit before modding your car. Especially if you autocross or track your car. Leave it stock then build from that. Driver mod is the least expensive thing you can do for your car. But that if it's your route, some people just leave it stock, some ppl like to make it looks cool. But if you want to mod your car for performance. Learn about it first.

I Definitely jumped all in with my s13 drift car. things seem to be going somewhat fine. But definitely did my homework on each aspect. Only road bumps I run into are stubborn volts and seized ball joints to knuckles. Bought all parts from full suspension to big brakes dual caliper setup hydro t28 turbo power fc wideband and boost controller and all sort of other little goodies. But not gonna lie. Most of the parts are still sitting on the shelf but that's mainly due to my procrastination. Depression is a Bitch. Literally sucks all the genuine motivation out of you. And the whole point of buying the car to drift was that I was banking on it being so fun that it motivates me to do more in life so I could actually e joy life. I should have 2 FBO cars right now lowered with all sorts of goodies but I'm here pacing around my living room watching your vids. I've already done 4 miles according to my step tracking app and it's 11am 😕

New and better perf brake pads and rotors saved my ass from getting T-Boned at a intersection one day from a guy who blew a red light. Good tires help lots. I had soft compound summer tires on my car and used them up and went to a cheaper “summer” tire and I couldn’t push my car as much anymore due to lack of grip. It’s a real thing tires can help you drive faster!

I have tuned my suspension with me in it and the difference is unreal the car is extremely predictable and the traction on turns is crazy how I tuned my suspension was a lot of driving figuring out what damping seting your car loves and corner balance the car to each side gets the exact same weight front to back if you can and side to side so let's say the left side has 1200 lbs you want the outher side to mach exactly same for the front 1340 lbs mach it and try to get the front to back as close as posible with you in the car if you race it you will feel the massive difference when you fly through the corners like the road was strate
