If it helps It’s a 97-2002 Mazda xedos 6 or 9. Probably a xedos6 because it’s a bit smaller than the big brother xedos9. Been a Mazda mechanic for 20 years😉

All VIN# plates are on the Driver side under the windshield next to the channel the windshield lays in. It's secured with two pop rivets with slice marks .only manufacturers put on .cause you can't make them marks on a regular pop rivet. Cops know this when they look from outside your driver's side looking at your VIN # They can tell if a fake VIN by having smooth rounded top...grew up as a mechanic since 1962

Could be a mazda protégé from the late 90's small 4 door compact. Most miatas only have 2 doors.

With the rounded rear fender corners, if it wasn't a Miata, it was an older Mazda sedan like maybe even 80's or so...also older style badge on the trunk deck lid right side.

That sticker is just a recall sticker put on at the dealership when they performed the update.

Good morning Adam. I am just a bit late on this one. Sorry. Kendall and friends contacted the right person to look into this vehicle under water. I am not a Mazda follower but do know this is not a Miata as they only came in two door as far as we got up here in Canada. Did you find out any other information on it or was it too vague finding only that one sticker. Visibility was great under water so made the video very interesting. Could be a 626. Mid sized sedan. Definitely not a Miata. That is a two door convertible. The rear emblem was used from 1992 to 1997, so that narrows it down.

Beautiful boat. Thank you for being responsible, and reporting it to someone who can investigate it thoroughly. I’m all for reuniting lost loved ones with their families. I spent some time with my cousin decades ago in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Most people just by their looks would have been scared of them, but I can attest that all of them were genuine, polite, friendly, decent and would give you the shirt off their back. Many were veterans, and most were bikers. I felt completely safe in what was a very unfamiliar environment for me at the time. They were gracious, and wouldn’t accept any gratuity from me for their hospitality. They knew how to fix anything, and could hunt, fish, track like nobody’s business. Not enough credit is given to those who don’t live a traditional lifestyle by American standards. Adam that you for diving, Kendall thank you for being a good person alerting the right people to begin the investigation. Anyone on the water please be diligent, you could solve a crime or a family’s worst nightmare. ✌️🤿🚤
