Caravan from Whiplash (Drum Cover) At Talent Show!

Had a blast playing this one with friends! Unfortunately, my right bass pedal had the beater fly off the pedal right before the iconic drum solo (at the end), so I had to adjust to playing without kicks on the spot. Tried my best to improvise in the heat of the moment. Hope you all enjoy! 🥁😁

Feels like you think "the hardest stuff imaginable" somehow is something people are just now starting to strive to play. Like no one has practiced Paganini or Scriabin in the past. Complex music has always been around, and people have always been drawn towards it. And while Caravan or Whiplash aren't easy to play, they're far from the hardest stuff imaginable. So I think you should stop saying that, because it doesn't make much sense.

I agree. I won awards in high school and got a scholarship, and my close friend, who's also a drummer, plays for the phil harmonic. You're better than we both were in high school.

though movies are meant to be spectacle, there's something more honest, raw, and jaw-droppingly impressive about your performance. i was breathless the entire time. this was by far the best cover I've seen of the scene byfar and your ghost notes and rolls are out of this world. you're absolutely remarkable man.
