Carbon Fiber Gas Tank Install | Ducati Monster

Here's another quick vid on how to install carbon fiber parts on your Ducati Monster. The only tools you will need are a 3mm and 4.5mm Hex Key to remove the bolts on the gas tank and seat area. I am really happy with how this enhanced the bike even more. Although this is subtle, it still changes the overall look of the bike. I purchased these 100% carbon fiber twill design parts from motocomposites.com. Check them out and tell them Clutch1st sent you! :)

Where did you order the carbon gas cover piece from b/c mines does not fit as easy. I want to order one that doesn't need to holes heavily modified?

I have some CF pieces just like that but mine is the Plain weave and its a matte finish. If it ever degrades I want to go to a twill weave since it looks better, which is what u have.

+Other7777 The gloss twill weave is surprising nice. I feared that it would have been a bit over the top, but its really subtle and classy. Get a bottle of Plexus to preserved your paint and Carbon Fiber. Oh yeah, you're absolutely correct about the upper tank cover screws all being the same size. Good stuff, man. I'm on a '13 Triumph Speed Triple R, bought new a year ago, and have yet to do any mods (fender eliminator is first on the list) but love that Monster. Probably the only other bike I'd want to own. Keep up the great videos. Ride safe.

plexus is the business man, works great for general bike wipedown, makes black plastic look great safe on helemts and shields a must have kinda pricey tho but worth it

TBH, that tank looks pretty bitchen without any panels on it lol. Unlike my FZ07 i pulled the panels off to work on it once and the tank is obviously not ment to see the light of day lol.
