So feature wise, you can’t get a heads up display LED fog lamps, or the best stereo in the traverse. The Denali clearly has a more premium interior as well. General Motors should have done was offer another motor exclusive to the Denali trim, but of course they never do things like that the first time around.

GM really brought their game in terms of design of both of these. They no longer look like jellybellys and offed crisp, modern designs. On the Chevy, the bold design does indeed standout in a sea of vanilla offerings for sure. My only wish is that the red interior accents were optional instead of mandatory, since they do seem to be a bit too liberally applied for my tastes. But I do appreciate the more streamlined screen orientation in the Chevy vs GMC. On the GMC, what a massive quantum leap over the dullard that was previous model. With the style, presence, interior(especially), and tech are truly advanced. The only thing with the Acadia is I think its priced about $5K too expensive. There just doesn't seem to be $7500 worth of premium over the Chevy(no massaging seats, ventilated rear seats, rear seat infotainment, and both share Super Cruise).
@G-Rated

@@hellkitty1014 My only question is *did you watch the review?* The GMC’s upgraded 16-speaker Bose performance audio system is worth $2,000 alone. The Acadia Denali has more expensive and luxurious materials throughout with real laser etched woods and authentic aluminum accents. The Chevy’s interior feels premium but it’s no where near the aesthetic of the Acadia Denali or Enclave. The GMC also offers more technology like the large HUD and an upgraded adaptive suspension system is also included in this price difference. Certainly justifies a $5k-$6k price premium over the RS.

You Guys describe the differences perfectly, sport vs luxury. I think you cant go wrong with either just depends on personal preference. I am a person who keeps my vehicles for quite a wile and I focus on keeping them in as much of new condition as I can, doing my own detailing work. One thing that I see as a con on the Traverse is all that piano black on the front. I don't see that aging well over time especially if you live in an area with a lot of bugs. I personally chose the Acadia. Pros and cons to both though. Thanks CarConfections again!

I kinda think the Acadia is the nicest inside. As for exterior the enclave looks great from the back. But the front end overhand is too big and the side looks awkward. Mostly because the third row windows are too small. Not sure why they want the make the car look smaller and sleeker. The traverse looks more brawny, muscular, and has more presence. Unfortunately its interior is the cheapest and doesn't offer a High Country with all the features/tech.

For the outgoing generation, I would take the Acadia. For this new generation, based on outside appearances alone I would take the Traverse. However fit and finish on the interior might sway me. Edit: I forgot they put the stupid Tablet style infotainment in the Acadia. Chevy it is. Actually after seeing the maps on them, I'm thinking the vertical screen is more practical. Still would just prefer less screens in general.
@djplonghead5403
@djplonghead5403 14 күн бұрын
Yes. A smaller but more practical screen is better than a large and useless screen. Sure… it might say a 17 inch but if you take away climate, nav, and other information you are actually looking at a 15” screen. Toyotas 12.5” screen does not have the climate integrated in it so the 15.5” inch around a 12” screen after the nav is taken away. A lot of new and fancy GM vehicles might have 30” screens but a lot of it is wasted space- headlight switches, blank area, etc.

They are using the top trim levels for this comparison, but the Traverse starts at $37k, and the Acadia at $42k. Realistically, most of these will be selling in the $40's - about on par for the segment. Also consider these are almost as big as the previous gen (2020) Yukons and Tahoes. Not even sure these should be called "midsize" SUVs anymore. If you don't need 3 rows, the 2025 Equinox/Terrain duo are being redesigned with similar styling to these two. Those are gonna start in the high $20's/low $30's. I'd say those are more for the "average" American with 2.5 kids. 😄 (Actually, I think it's less now.)

I'm thinking most sales of these will be mid-range trims in the mid-$40's. They're just using the maxed-out trims for review purposes. But yeah, $58k/$65k is way overkill (bordering ridiculous) for a non-luxury midsize SUV, in my opinion. As far as your statements about what cars should have at certain price points good luck with that. General Motors has been on a roll. The last five years they sell every truck and SUV they make and their reliability ratings keep going up what has changed is they don’t offer discounts anymore and they no longer price their vehicles below the competition. This goes for GM and Jeep/RAM especially. You’re gonna pay for every little thing you’re not gonna get LED lights on every $50,000 vehicle. Turbo engines The majority of the driving public do not know enough about engines, turbos, cubic inches, torque and horsepower to care. Just like an air compressor, the higher the pressure you run it the shorter the life of the pump, a car engine is a pump. Turbos pressurize the engine to falsely make it put out more power. The 4 cylinders lose power as they get more miles on them, there is no substitute for cubic inches, horsepower and torque. I have built engines and turbo's boost the pressure into the small engines creating more power at the expense of the life of the engine. Your maintenance cost will exponentially increase with a turbo when it fails. Any economy you may have gotten from the turbo will be totally lost on the replacement cost of the turbo. This vehicle is way too large/heavy for a 4 cylinder. A long list of gadgets will not negate the lack of power from a 4 cylinder, not to mention the turbo lag when you need all the power from the small 4 cylinder. GM has lost this customer. We have a 2017 ACADIA V-6, 34 MPG highway.

The rear window panel on the traverse looks ugly & weird, and flows more on the Acadia. Just wish the Denali didn’t come with that ugly chrome grill

Palisades are FUUUGLY... at least to me. Nice side profile, but the front and rear ends are absolutely hideous. No way could I drive something like that. To each their own though.

Ill take a v6 with 370 hp. Thank you. Those turbo 4 's wont last under towing over time

Turbos do not sound good while towing… neither do these transmissions.

Those engines under heavy load sound like 25k sedans. Shameful gm. You could do better there.

I like how people try to shift the blame to the EPA on that and say it’s not their fault it’s EPA regulations that’s right it’s EPA regulations that General Motors supports 100% and brags about. They are in bed with the EPA and it is disgusting.
