Very much like the NUMMI Nova right down to the steering wheel being pure Japan apart from the badge pasted on it. At least the Nova had its' own face and (sedan) roofline although that was likely as much a matter of the sealed-beam-headlight and 5 mph bumper requirements in the former case and the fact Toyota was doing a second style of 4-door sedan body anyway since it had multiple dealer channels in Japan in the latter. FWIU, at that, Honda didn't sell the gen 2 Civic sedan in Britain (maybe not anywhere in Europe) so the only way to get one was to buy a Triumph Acclaim from a British Leyland dealer. Much as was the case with the Geo Prizm GSi - Toyota didn't sell a 4A-GE powered four-door to Americans, but Chevy would.
