Hydraulic Lash Adjusters (HLA) components and Operation. HLA automatically adjust the valve clearance (valve lash) in a car to account for the thermal expansion of the valves. Regular clearance adjustment is, therefore, not required. Other name - hydraulic tappet, hydraulic valve tappet, hydraulic lifter.

Hey Vlad, Eugen here. Great video and audio track. Synthetic voice (a bit American?) but perfectly OK. Any chance you make one for the small HLA (Mazda skyactive etc)?
