I believe you made the right decision and should not have any regrets. I saw the show, and it was evident that you were sober while she was not. It's appalling for her to accuse you of the opposite. You have worked diligently to reach where you are, and ending the engagement was a good thing.

I totally agree. Lindsey is a self centered nightmare who turns everything around on Carl. I truly felt for him watching this last season. He has done so much work on himself. There are many kind and good women out there who would be honored to date Carl and spend time with him sober! I hope he finds love and appreciation.

I know that Lindsay or Carl probably do not read these comments but I’ve watched them from the beginning to the end of this relationship. I had a similar relationship. I can see they love each other but they have NO idea how to communicate and it destroyed the relationship. Counseling usually can’t fix it. Some people can communicate with a certain person where maybe you can’t. It’s a hard road to go down because it’s always a dead end. As much love as was there, a relationship won’t work without communication. No one is at fault…both of you can’t communicate with the other one. Lindsay can only see her side and Carl can only see his side. Sad but true. Agree to be friends and move on.
