I saw Santana several times. It got to the point where we stopped asking for a specific seat. Just bought any ticket available. seat was irrelevant. Never sat in it all night. One concert there was a conga line of hundreds of people. Someone's hands on my hips. Mine on the person in front. Whoever was in front knew what they were doing. The whole line moved together. SANTANA!!!

Santana was one of those bands I grew up listening to but none of my friends did. I was so happy when this song came out and everyone loved it (with good reason!!), because I could say, "Check out Black Magic Woman and Oye Como Va!"

Hey, Jamel, Santana is on tour next year, hitting Los Angeles on June 8th (along with Earth, Wind, & Fire). I sincerely think you need to get to his live show. I've been to hundreds of concerts, and I can say without a doubt that Carlos Santana is one of those players the not only lives up to, but exceeds the legend. Along with his screaming guitar, watching him work the stage as the band leader is a sight to behold, also.

When this song came out, I bought the CD just for this one song. When I first saw Santana live, it was in the late '80s and I swear I had tears running down my face. I was so overcome by all of the instruments and the talent on one stage. It was at a beautiful outdoor venue in St. Louis, Mo. call The Muny. I'll never forget it! You brothers made this so much fun! A very, _very_ long time ago, I was standing next to a little cabin in a meadow. My boyfriend's brother came out and pointed up to the beautiful houses whose balconies were a little ways away. He said, "That's Carlos Santana's house." I asked, "THE Carlos Santana....??" Many years later, one of my roommates called me and held her phone up to her car stereo's speaker. "Have you heard this?!" I told her it was amazing, and that I'd been chasing it around the radio stations all morning long. Great song. Great album. Mr. Carlos is a treasure. Rob is so talented. (I don't know if the comments already contain this. I saw an interview soon after the song was released. Rob said Carlos told him he must be with a Spanish woman, because he wrote the lyrics, "I could change my life to better suit your mood....") It was really fun to see you guys enjoy this.
