It's really the preservation of the voices which is most surprising, to look at it in the most general way. Most pop singers lose their voices completely by this age.

More like with the help of ONE! of the two guys in the back. His name is Jeff Foskett who has been a loyal band member for The Beach Boys and Brian for over 30 years. Notice and look closely the other guy is not even singing other than Jeff it's all being done by them! learn to tell the difference before posting!

the only one in the back who sings is Jeff Fosket, aniway, the only one who can't hit high notes anymore in Brian Wilson, because of all the pills, the medicines, and the phisic problems which interested also his voice, he was the "falsetto singer" in the Beach Boys, but for his voice problems in his concerts he sings the "Mike Love vocal parts", aniway, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks can perfectly sing the high notes in the chorus part, as you can see.

In 1969 all my friends wanted to listen to Hendrix, Led Zep, Neil Young. But there was a Beach Boys album, I said, "I like this!" In November '74 I saw them in Mad Sq Garden (thinking they were over). Their second song was "Catch A Wave" - the whole Garden stood up and sang along the whole song. To a Beach Boys song I thought was 2nd level. Boy, did it feel good being right.

Don't they sound just great after all these years? I had the privilege of watching them live in Sacramento in 1964. They performed twice. I'm not sure if the one I attended was the one they recorded for The Beach Boys Live album, but even if I wasn't, it might as well have been because I'm sure they sounded the same both times. Oddly, however, the thing that remained with me the most from that performance was seeing Mike Love bathed in green light while he sang, "I was working in the lab late one night when I eyes beheld an eerie sight, for my monster from his slab began to rise, and suddenly to my surprise . . . he did the mash, he did the Monster Mash. . . ."

My favorite band! I was born Jan., 1954 and remember all their songs. I saw them in person in the summer of 1974 down at the Cape Cod, Mass. and their winter concert Jan., 1975 at the Boston Garden. All the band members were there (Carl & Dennis) and they had a wonderful brass section of trumpet, sax and trombone. Well balanced show including lots of flowers at the front top of the stage thate were thrown out to the audience. Lots of fun and everyone had fun. Everyone there was American and there was no hate.

I'm SORRY! I am a Beach Boys fan since 1968 (I was born in 58') and my parents were musicians that had me singing since I was knee high to a grasshopper. When I was first introduced to the Beach Boy's (after listening to EVERY country song ever written!) I was HOOKED! I have sang these wonderful songs ever since with as much backup as I could muster. Even singing a lot of their songs karaoke style I was a hit not only for my spot on performances, (even with falsettos) but because it brought back some great times and great music to fans from all ages and genres. THIS studio performance was really, REALLY poor considering it was obvious that these guys were singing a GREAT #1 hit that they have sang, and been requested soooo many times that they are really tired of doing it. Com'on guy's! we really just want to go back and hear the great old sounds from days gone by. I know you all have new and exciting material that we can relate to, BUT it doesn't change the fact that your fame came from an era of surf rock that made you who you are. THANKS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES, AND I FOR ONE WILL LISTEN TO ANYTHING YOU AS A GROUP, OR INDIVIDUALLY HAVE TO OFFER. (crying shame times change, and so does the audience) THANKS AGAIN!

Hands down the best fucking rock and roll band in American history. End of story. The Beach boys rocked back in the 60s and they still Rock today. They are the best. Nobody will ever I repeat ever copy these guys. They may try but they'll never be the Beach boys.

Brian studies popular quartet groups from the 50s and taught the band how to harmonize. They worked really hard at it.
