I know what he’s getting at. There’s a common narrative at the moment that we are apparently the best team in the world and we have loads of world class players. In fact, we are so good, managing this team is a simple procedure because of the endless talents that we have at our disposal. And when something goes just slightly wrong, we are all going to stamp up and down because we are cross that we have been let down by this rubbish manager, and it’s nothing short of a disgrace. He has ruined our EUROs. It’s that kind of spoilt attitudes/behaviours. It’s like bringing up an only child and you treating it like it’s a level above the King of England.
