This is the earliest filmed interview known of by Carly Simon, who was in London recording her No Secrets album with Richard Perry and engineer Robin Cable at Trident Studios. She talks about how she likes to record in London more than New York, and why stage fright keeps her from performing concerts.

Her facial features are so very expressive without having to try. A lovely face equal to her personality. There is no deceit at all, just pure earthiness.

She may have been raised in a rich family but she was never a spoiled brat or slouch or anything. She is very articulate and has a very sweet personality. Great song writer and singer to boot.

I was a kid when i first heard Carly Simon my sister have an Album and she will listen and sing and i just listened. I'm 54 now and i can still remember the voice very beautiful indeed. Love you Carly Simon ❤️ you are a very beautiful person inside and outside. thank you.

Reminds me of my wife, now deceased, also a song writer, and singer, and Both have a very sweet personality.

I can't work out whether she's gorgeous or a bit ugly. She has a very striking, unusual face dominated by an enormous mouth. If you freeze at 2:50, it's like half her face is teeth!

yeah...she was perfect right here , at this point in time...all she needs is the floppy hat from her album cover...SO beautiful! she looks uncannily like my first serious gf...though Jeanne had lighter hair.

I think she is simply terrific. A great musician. Try writing some song yourself to see how challenging it is. No Secrets is one fabulous song.

Very good interview. I am not too familiar with Carly Simon's songs but very much familiar with "You are so vain" and she also happened to be George Michael's favourite singers at one point.
