Just seeing that family picture and smiles warmed my heart. No such thing as perfect human Tony. Gotta keep doing the best any of us can do.

It seems like the trend of limiting the number of cruisers started with the trend of the launching of the mega-ships. When a big ship was 2500 passengers it didn't seem to be a problem. Now that ships carrying 6000 passengers are arriving it's just too much to handle.

This is my second year that I have not been able give him a hug and wish him happy Father’s Day. Value them while they are still here cause they can he gone in a flash.

I've got 5 grown kids, there's nothing like having them all in one place!

I was in Santorini last September on the Enchanted Princess when 3 cruise ships were there. It was a miserable experience because of the overcrowding. I agree that something needs to be done to make it more manageable. Limiting the number of cruise ships is in the best interest of the cruise ship passengers. The Captain of the ship even apologized for putting us through that.

Tony- thank you for at least admitting the emissions happen somewhere else. Some people actually believe that all electric is clean.

My late husband was very impatient about getting to and from places, so rather than book rental cars through the cruise he booked it separately to avoid waiting for shuttles etc. and we caught a cab from Miami cruise port, to the airport to pick up our reserved rental car there was some confusion they didn't seem to have our reservation, but we were able to get a car. On our return from our drive to the everglades where we encountered traffic backups we were not expecting, we returned the rental car to the rental office nearer the cruise port. Had trouble finding it in the days before GPS navigation and, since we picked up from a different (wrong) location. Had to call or flag down a cab to get us back to the cruise port, we almost missed the all aboard, and to top it off my husband's cruise Id had fallen out of his pocket somewhere in the everglades(returned a few days later on the cruise). This very stressful self arranged excursion transportation made me a fan of excursion through the cruise ship.

Using shore power allows the Engineering Department to do maintenance on the ship's generators.

This is the 1st year I can’t wish my Dad a happy Father’s Day. 😢💔 it was a very emotional day for me. Happy Father’s Day to all you wonderful dads out there!

I lost my Dad this year and I hear ya Tony... I'd give just about anything to give him another hug and tell him "Happy Father's Day" He was part of the reason we got hooked on cruising. ☮

It's idiotic to get into a car with a random stranger. I've seen signs at airports saying something like, "Anyone who offers you a ride shouldn't be giving you one." Same goes for cruise ports.

Truly one of my favorite vlogs of yours! First, I am a subscriber, but I watch on tv, so I don't always take time to make a comment, but today I had to comment. I always love the cruise news and the way you deliver it, but I wish you had a second (actually I think it would be your third!) channel telling funny things/odd things in the non cruising world too! You are honestly very funny! I know when I watch that you will always bring a smile to my face. My husband (who is working in the other room and was only partially listening) said - That guy is seriously funny! - and, yes, he has seen most of your vlogs too, so he does appreciate your "regular" work. Thanks so much for all you do to keep us informed and entertained!

I understand and appreciate ports that are restricting megaships. When one or two or three of these floating cities disgorge many thousands of passengers, what they will see is not an authentic place that made it worth visiting. It will be an artificial, made-for-tourist performance that expects some of the horde will spend money there. Small ships with small tour groups can go about a city without disrupting the everyday activities, and that's what I would be there to see. So I'm pleased when a port excludes the bigger ships so it won't be overrun and ruined if I want to visit.

Tony, as a father, grand father, great grand father now, I still miss my dad every day. thanks for your stories

Santorini’s infrastructure is being overwhelmed. I was last there in 2022 and it was extremely crowded.

As dads we all do the best we can and hope to provide a better life for our children than we did. I lost my father when I was 7 and he was a truck driver so I saw him very little. I am thankful that he was doing his best to provide for his family!

I'm the same. My father passed away over 30 years ago. I would love to be able to tell him happy father's day again. The father's day cake on Carnival adequately honors fathers.

Excellent story about the birthday cake at Publix. This is why you can’t trust the young person at the counter, who may not know the peculiarities of the business. And thank you for telling everyone to say Happy Father’s Day - you don’t know if it will be the last time. I’m sorry, Tony, that you lost your father at such a young age.

Our daughter made the 2 hour drive home for Father's Day but not Mother's Day. Must have been because he grilled wagu steaks, and I don't cook on mom's day. It was a wonderful, good family day.

I lost my dad almost 3 years ago ( I was a Daddys girl) from dementia. It was hard, but i was lucky I got to have him for over 50 years. Happy belated Father's Day to you.

I lost my dad at 22 also, 38 years ago. He was the best. I mean he was REALLY the best! and I miss him every day. But my husband enjoyed his day with 2 of our kids taking a boat ride on Lake Michigan with him. His dream day ❤🚤❤️

Christmastime here in Prague is pretty amazing. The whole city gets decorated, there's extra kiosks for food and other products at the Christmas markets, which smell great. along with mulled wine. Restaurants have Christmas themed dinners- goose, ham, turkey. There's even trams decorated for Christmas. You wouldn't know the Czech Republic is the least religious country in Europe by the amount of Christmastime festivities.

I was on a cruise in Haugesund, Norway on P & O Britannia. We tried shore power for the first time, whilst it was successful. Disconnecting caused problems with lifts being stuck and orders being lost.

I loved to see last week during a rally tour on the Symphony, a huge machine where ALL the left over food, including bones, get grinded and released at authorized areas into the waters to feed the fish, as part of the save the waves program.

I went to the taxi stand at Port of Seattle and still received a phony taxi. Vehicle was marked as a taxi and there was a meter going but when we go to the airport he demanded cash.

Let's have the power debate........the only reason for ports to mandate shore power is so they can bill them for it.

It's more than just moving emissions to another location. Although no doubt it's a factor. It's more about dramatically improving the efficiency of power generation. A wide variety of green energy sources become possible with shore power and even where there are none, shore based power generation is often significantly more efficient and less polluting than a cruise ship's diesel generators.

My father passed this February due to complications from dementia. I'd give anything to tell him I loved him and happy father's day again. I also watched his relationship with his father deteriorate after his mother died. I can tell you he'd of given anything to repair that relationship before my grandfather passed.

I went to the wrong subway to pickup 160 sandwiches for a fundraiser! Both the employees & I were both going whaaaaaattt? And laughing so hard! Good times

The taxi lobby is strong. It is rediculous that people are forced to walk that far to get a ride share. The Cities have discovered that they can charge the rideshare service a fee on each trip. It is all about the money and not the convenience. We used a poacher after our cruise ended in New York. No cabs around and we needed to get to the airport. Price was good and nice ride.

Sounds like you had a good Father's Day. This was the 1st Father's Day without my Dad that passed last fall. It was a tough one. I was a lucky gal to have him for 61 years, i know. Never long enough ...

Agree no go on Santorini it was the worse stop on our 14 day cruise last October. Never again standing in blistering heat to catch a lift with no breeze for 4 hours just to shop for crap souvenirs. Then just walk down the huge hill trying to dodge donkey crap and not fall like everyone else is.

My daughter and I were on Celebrity in Europe for Mother's day. No mention of the day because it's celebrated different days in different countries. Not everyone celebrated Mother's Day on that day..disappointed but we lived. We did both get roses last year when we cruised on Valentines Day

I'm glad they want to limit ships. We went to Costa Maya. We were on msc and one other shop was there. You're talking about 10,00 people in Port. It's horrible. We didn't want to be there. Hot and way too many people!! We don't even want to get off the ship anymore. Just a bunch of overpriced shops and too many people.

We were in Santorini last fall. The tram line was 45 minutes to an hour and the same coming down. We gave up on going up top. We’ve been before so it wasn’t a huge deal. Best to book a shore excursion.

I love that they’re using shore power. When you leave Miami on a ship and look back at Miami, the smog is shocking. If this will cut back on that, that’s a good thing.

It took hours before he was seen… Haha love the “dad jokes” I cherish each time I’m with my parents and the Holidays are even more cherished, which Christmas is my favorite. I have 2 brothers that were from my Dads marriage before my Mom and once they grew up it was sporadic with the calls or visits and now it’s even worse. My father is not in the best of health with his heart and most recent dementia dx and it’s been years since they’ve called or visited and they are 30-45 min away.
