CARNIVAL MARDI GRAS CRUISE (DAY 1) Embarkation, Touring Our Veranda Room, And Exploring The Ship!

This entire past week, I've been on a Caribbean cruise with Brennan and her family aboard the Carnival Mardi Gras! This was my first EVER cruise, and after being invited by Brennan a significant amount of time ago, I said yes and did not regret it! We did a 7-Day sailing with multiple ports in Nassau, Amber Cove, and Grand Turk, and had a phenomenal time exploring the ship and taking advantage of the superior amount of entertainment, recreational, food, and beverage offerings available during the week. This will be an extensive series highlighting our experience together on the Mardi Gras, and I'm incredibly excited to share it and look back on in the future! It was such a phenomenal ship! We were on it for 7 days and there were still places we never got to experience and countless entertainment offerings we missed!

Went on a Royal Caribbean cruise a few months before the pandemic started with the family and loved it. Hope you get to enjoy all the amenities, but also time to relax and unwind. The free ice cream is dangerous, the scale is very unkind when you get home.

Haha oh absolutely that was one of the more tempting aspects that I had to keep myself in check for throughout the week, haha! The unlimited and conveniently available food was the best (or worst, depending on how you look at it)!

It was a blast! I was definitely very hesitant to go on a cruise just due to the potentiality of motion sickness (or being bored), but neither were a problem whatsoever!

I’m surprised too! This was a cruise organized by Brennan’s family that I was invited to accompany them on, so of course I said yes! It’s been planned for a couple years or so, so it’s been something I’ve been excited/nervous about for months and it finally happened (and was worth it)!

Five or six years ago I went on a carnival cruise similar to this. Its really nostalgic for me so its so cool to see one of these. Have a good cruise!

I’m glad I was finally able to as well! It was definitely a challenge to narratively capture our experience when I had no clue where I was during the first couple of days or so though 😂

We just got back so I’m starting to get all the videos edited (it was a lot of GB haha), but we had such a fun time! I can definitely see myself and Brennan going on a cruise together at some point soon!

From the last video, I could see it on Arlo's little face he knew you were going away. So does this patch have slow released anti motion sickness medicine in it? or is it pressure therapy?

I actually have no idea how they work, but I replaced it every few days. I think it helps with the equilibrium/balance that lead to potential motion sickness. It’s my first time ever using a patch, and it definitely felt a little silly, but I had a pretty comfortable cruise and only felt uneasy a couple times the whole week!
