The people issuing permits to these carnivals should be investigated.

I went on a similar ride called 1001 night's, but after seeing this I'm not going on a carnival ride like this. A BIG Thank you for all of the people who helped stop the ride from toppling over

This is why I don’t go on carnival rides anymore. They’re moved around & put together quickly by people who may or may not be on drugs.

On The 4th of July an identical ride to this was running in our town and I was saying As a mechanic I don't trust meth addicts doing maintenance and set up, Ironic...

The 2nd hand drama from these people is palpable to say the least. I wonder what the actual people on the ride felt?

what difference would it make if all the states have the same safety rules? would it prevent rides from malfunction or are there some states where the safety
@deprofundis32933 жыл бұрын
Because shared knowledge = more knowledge. Leaving safety rules up to local authorities who aren't as experienced as, say, the safety engineers at Disneyland, is risky and downright stupid.

This is an engineering problem. Something we should have had licked, a long time ago. It's become more than routine, operating amusement park rides. There is absolutely NO reason whatsoever that we should be having any deaths or injuries at all, let alone tens of thousands of them every year. It's complacency, mixed with poor critical thinking skills, you know; COMMON SENSE. Every one of those incidents is avoidable, given the proper safety precautions and vigilance by the operators and people responsible for the maintenance. Of course, we have cranes, bridges, overpasses, and even buildings falling down here, in America lol and we can't even keep a friggin' carnival ride from malfunctioning?! Anybody who thinks it's somehow funny or "cool" to not do well in school, or brag about being bad at math, which I've seen ALOT of, especially recently, needs to see why it's so fundamental to get a good, competent education, no matter where you live. We have buildings without the number 13 in the elevator because of ridiculous superstitions, as if anybody really thinks that floor just magically doesn't exist. And worse, people actually believing that the Earth is flat, so much so that they've started clubs, where they can get together and try convincing even more people to stop using their basic, fundamental common sense and critical thinking skills. It's become "trendy" to be "anti-intellectual," in our society, and THESE are the results! Scientific literacy is the most effective inoculate against charlatans, con artists, and anyone else who would try to B.S. you. Pull the wool over your eyes. "Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities." ---Voltaire 1766 While we're preoccupied with Kardashians and "Real Housewives," our Country is literally falling apart right beneath our feet. Ever see the movie; "Idiocracy"?!? (I'll just leave it at that. 🤣)
@briannamorrison3803 жыл бұрын
I've never heard anyone brag about being bad at math. I'm bad at it and I've never bragged about it. We are all good and bad at different things. I have tried to get better at it but it just isn't my strength. Does that mean I should be shamed for it? People are so damn judgmental.🙄

It's time that every ride is inspected and ran before putting people on them. I have been on two rides as a kid that malfunctioned at carnivals. The hammer head and the octopus...hammerhead ride bolts were falling out as ride was going and octopus lost the braking system...literally took a half hour to slow down enough to stop us manually. That was the last time I rode any rides whether carnival or fair.
@justinsimmons51543 жыл бұрын
every carnival has to get inspected every week by the state govs office before and ride can open
@ninedragons13 жыл бұрын
Having nation wide regulations ain't going to make us any safer. All that's going to do is close down long running rides that have never malfunctioned. This is a case of negligence and lack of inspection. Park owners may have been cutting corners during the shut down to keep from going bankrupt. They are the ones responsible, they are the ones that need to be sued. If anything there needs to be a third party investigation to how this happened and if it's ruled as negligence then the owner should serve jail time. My dream is to own an amusement park and I would hate for it to be regulated to oblivion, cause of too many bad apples.
