📜 Video Description 📜
3Bet pots happen very often in the modern poker climate where many players opt for a 3Bet or fold strategy from UTG, HJ, CO, BTN and SB. This and the fact that the pot is also quite big makes these situations very important to your winrate, but 3Bet Pots are understudied and messed up frequently by aspiring poker players. In this video we enlist the help of Carrot Corner resident 3Bet pot expert Justin Liu to talk us through how these spots really work.

I'm in very early of the video currently, where you talk on making more of these specific spots. Love it! in my games we are usually 8-9 games live. It's pretty common to be early position open vs early position 3b.. Would love some help on those spot, it rarely gets around to cutoff to be able to open. and Sb v bb is non existent. never happens

Thanks for the video. I disagree in one spot and as someone who plays a lot of 25NL for training purpose I have to say from my experience no 25NL player will Station you down in a 3b pot with QJ on AK8Q7 when you tripple barrel. Thats far from reality

Thanks for making this video. 3Bet pots are one of my biggest weak spots, I am rarely comfortable in my lines when I'm in a 3Bet pot. Love to see this type of content. Keep it coming.

Fuck yeah! Was just studying some CO defense vs BU, pumped for the vids! Absolutely love the idea of going deep in one specific spot, that happens often. Wouldnt mind SRP BvB or 3BP BvB as next topics.

Videos like this can give you some good heuristics, but the best thing one can do is simply train the spots themselves.

Last hand you guys said usually villain should turn 76 and 98 into a bluff but villains dont do it, therefore A9 is an even clearer fold. But now our hero calls A9 and you also said many heroes do that -> So therefore I should not turn my 76 and 98 into a bluff in practise?
@klamsauce233
@klamsauce233 2 ай бұрын
I would still look to do it in general as a good way to play your range on the river and I would only deviate if you are up against a villain who makes bad absolute hand strength bluff catches (exploit said opponent by always having it when you bet, which makes his river calls eternally negative EV). Not all players are calling A9 here. You just need to figure out which ones are. The way this hand plays out, btn is also going to show up with worse than Ax a lot too given turn check, which should increase the fold equity of the river bluff even against a station.

That final hand is a slam dunk call in NL 50 and below. Players are not thinking at all at this level and bluff every time they are at the bottom of their range. Thanks to Doug polk. Zero chance i fold A9 here and but i never not get some money on the turn when Ace hits.

This kid seems very smart and promising poker player, or whatever path he chooses. After soon to be two decades in the poker world Ive seen a lot of players come and go. I would happily invest or bet on the fact that you are crushing it on HS soon after going pro! Pete I don’t see the link to his channel? Maybe you forgot to put the link or Im missing it. Gl in the future both!

Couldnt agree more, they love to call flop (vs 1/3 range bet) and fold turn at low stakes as their range is too wide on boards that suit the 3bettor.

Bluffing The River A. If opponent must call wide with weak absolute hand strength hands, the spot is probably over folded. B. If opponent must fold high absolute hand strength hands, the spot is probably called too much. ...... Is the above correct?

36:55 Really good information. But it seems you’re playing against ppl that don’t know how to play. We want the players that actually know how to play. Unless it’s because of the betting. I wouldn’t be having 22 on this board to river. A good player would either had the flush or straight or even AJ if they pot size bet. Am I wrong?

This guy mentioned about focusing on specifics but seemed to not really do much of that and when he did he was sometimes way off. Like saying ‘55 and 44 are pure folding flop, even with a heart’ on the K87tt. I’ve not studied this spot much and knew that was incorrect. Also saying there’s no unpaired hands is obviously wrong, they can have 65 and 54

25NL pool will not bluff enough in that spot, so don’t call with A9 there. Also they will call you too much, so don’t Bluff there 😂😂😂😂😂😂 you basically become one of them. I don’t know. It’s strange.
