Jacob and Francisco are top notch reviewers. Talking about feel in cabin is a big plus for me when reviewers critique a car. I've owned 15 cars in a 13 year period, FYI french cars have been my most reliable whilst Audi made me broke. Take what I said with a pinch of salt, there's a lot of factors that come into play.

Hi. So just a few pointers, I actually run a channel called "the Bald Chery" and I tested the Jaecoo7. The issue that you say about the steering is a setting, the setting needs to be set "associated driving mode". It makes it feel a little better when you change the driving mode. Secondly for the fuel avg. You need to press the 0 button on the left of the steering. It'll bring up some dots on the screen and give you side arrows. You can scroll through the menus up and down, left and right. Then you can check out the tyres pressure and the fuel gauges such as the long time driving km but also to the fuel gauges for each trip and more settings. The place for the key is not to charge it but to place the key in the case of an emergency if the key fob battery is flat or very low. The problem I had was that I like physical buttons but it doesn't really have any.

I have the Jaecoo AWD and it's quite balanced and no issues with power... did a super long distance (9hrs x2) and off-road drive... super impressed.

The volume can be adjusted on the screen swipe down, you can also adjust volume on steering wheel. The average consumption control is on the steering wheel you can press the center of the button on the left hand side and use arrows to see consumption and avg speeds

The territory potentially can look less 'boring' with a sportier package. Upgraded rims and bumpers. Also I see they ditched the 12v charger for the back seat passengers. That comes in handy for charging laptops which exists on other ford models like the kuga etc

Thanks for this video. It helped a mate make a decision. He wanted to get the Jaecoo but just wasn’t sure. He opted for the Territory (which wasn’t even in his consideration set) as a comparable alternative. 👌🏾

The Titanium Territory has the panoramic roof, electric seats, bells and whilstles! 😃 Agree on the calibration too. Had a chance to drive not only the Jaecoo but other competitor offerings from China and that's where you see the difference.

Excellent reviews guys! When Francisco started speaking I immediately thought of Cyril Ramaphosa, a certain quality in his voice there. Jaecoo J7 is my choice between the two. Ford styling very confusing, but as always style is subjective. Great work gentlemen! 🙌

Thanks you guys I knew it wasn’t just me with these Chinese cars, my dad has a wildtrak and a tiggo 8 and I can’t stand how the tiggo drives on the flip side I love how the Wildtrak drives and I myself have an m340i so it says a lot about how good Ford’s driving feel (or whatever u call it) is.

Comparison is wrong. This should've been a comparison between the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro and the Ford TERRITORY. The Jaecoo should be compared to the Haval H6 Coupe

Jaecoo is a good looking car but personally I'm not a fan of the big touch screen.. I guess I'm a buttons guy, old school 😅. Navigating aircon, volumes and all other stuff from the screen is a no no for me

This is a major concern! @cars How can steering feel not be important and this from a guy car, let alone a car journalist? Isn't a steering wheel one of our main connection points to the car? So if the car had a Playstation steering from early 2000 with no feedback, no sense of center, it fine? If it wasn't for a comparison test, I don't believe a proper conclusion would have been made.

Jacob is just a better car present he is authentic, you should gun for that Ignition GT seat you'll kill it, you the knowledge, energy and character. Francisco is stereotyped he only says the same thing on his videos, he always talks about comfort, fuel economy, price he doesn't bring the energy and authenticity

Ford Territory makes more sense. Besides being better built and driving better, it's much larger than the Jaecoo. Territory is more car for the money. Resale will also be better because its a Ford.

Better built? Its not built by Ford. The resale value for this is not going to be what you expect. I also don't know when Fords had good resale values. Id say go and drive the cars yourself. Ive driven both, the Jaecoo was better, gimmics aside it felt better. Even the calibration, I felt it was good, the only thing that I do agree with though is that it could've done with the 2l engine
