While it is true that Cary was regarded to be a very good looking man, I think a proper gentleman never compares himself to others, specially when it comes to factors they cannot change. As it is often said: "Comparison is the thief of joy" I encourage you to achieve the best version of yourself that you can be, and to accept yourself and the things you cannot change and own them.

I recently watched the film series:‘Becoming Cary Grant’. If it is to be believed, his father instilled into him the importance of looking smart. If he did it certainly worked.

Today's men look awful in their tight, hipster pants, skimpy jackets and ugly facial hair. I take the way men dressed in the 1950s to mid60s anytime! Yes , and even Clark Gable preferred to be clean shaven without even a moustache! I hate goatee worst of all and very long , unkempt beards. Horrible

Buy off season. Better quality, less cost. Almost every jacket, suit, shirt and shoes can be mixed around with my clothes. Einstein. Never stand in front of the closet like it’s a TV.

video such these are always one sided. Another video stated by former gf or wife, he was very frugal. Who really knows. I enjoy shopping, maybe he didnt. I dont know, it doesn't matter. But confidence is definitely an attractive attribute, whether you dress well or not! IMO

@@pascalnorvins2187 Brown shoes with casual attire is okay but with suits they draw attention to a man's feet rather than to his face. CEOS of leading business corporations and heads of state and other men in prestigious positions always wear black shoes with their suits.

Best rule. Get a job were you are supplied with tailored clothes and have a stylist constantly on hand. Like movie star for instance. I seriously doubt once Cary Grant hit the big time he ever wore anything that wasn't tailored or hand made. From his shirts to his shoes. He could afford the best. Money is the best way to look good. This is why ugly old rich guys get young trophy wives.

You don't need to break the bank if you want to dress nicely, it's all about being patient and knowing where to buy and find good deals. Thinking that you're gonna look very stylish and elegant just because something is expensive is a very clear fallacy that's very easy to fall for.

Well, old rich guys will never look good enough to get beautiful, young women!!! It is their money alone , I guess , if you are a woman like that!
