Cascade City, a ghost town up in the mountains of southern British Columbia. This was where Nikola Tesla had a research facility. He was using the facility to research and develop 60hz AC power. The facility is gone with nothing of the laboratory and town left. It has all been destroyed.
We travel to the location on the cascade gorge where the powerhouse and dam used to be. There was a lot of mining and smelting in the area, so having electric power was essential to operations. This location was the proving ground for 60hz Ac current.
A true ghost town, nothing remains of cascade city. The buildings, powerhouse, and any remnants of the town have been lost to history. The town has a place in the history of power generation that should not be forgotten.
