Nice seats, you might try to find some original Ford truck bucket seat mounts. The outside bolts go right where the bench seat mounts, you will just have to drill for the inner holes. I have TMI seats and they bolted right up to the Ford brackets, plus they angle back for comfort.

Andy - Concerning the finish on the the truck, you HAVE to listen to me! There is a product sold at Home Depot and Ace Hardware made by Flood called "Penetrol". My brother put it on his '68 Buick Sportwagon and it's killer for sealing petina. It's clear and you slap it on a clean surface with a good quality brush. It will drip and run, but you just keep going over it with the brush till it starts to set up and you'll smooth it all out and it will self level. It takes a day or two to dry, and a week or so till it no longer feels tacky. But eventually it will dry hard as dry paint. And like paint it doesn't wash off - you have to abrade it of with something like steel wool. His has been on for two years, and all he's done is recently re-coat the hood as it was starting to dull slightly probably due to the heat. This stuff sells for under $20 / quart and for that big truck you might need 2 quarts. That's a total investment of under $40! Cheap - and it really works!

Not sure how tall you are, but seat height is crucial for regular cab comfort. I'm 6'2" so raising the seat helps leg room. I just rebuilt my own 4R100 in my 7.3 Excursion with a triple disc Goerend converter and a billet forward. So far, it's good. Adding a Gear Vendors for highway trips is future plans.

Andy love the truck, i had a 65 f100 with a t-bird interceptor iron c4 o matic. Got the rear to behave with spare tires mounted in the bed standing up. Filled with coolant. Not so much weight bur dampened the rear to control motion, stopped the violent action and tire unloading problem. Also spare coolant storage. Like a liquid filled AG tires smoothie movement. Just passing along what worked for me. You are taking good care of David too. God Bless you.

I like gibs oil myself. It protects the metal and really brings out some cool colors while giving a satin shean. I rub it on with a cloth once a year to my "patina" truck. I dont know if it will protect the lettering but what i like about it is if you decide to paint it at a later date it doesnt make that a nightmare, and it doesnt leave a oily touch after it dries. Its a little spendy for a can but it goes pretty far.

With regards to a cage, I’m in the uk and we can use bolt in cages so maybe if it’s allowed in the USA could you have some removable sections such as door bars 🤔

Had the same problem on rear topping out.. Calvert 9 way adjustable shocks fixed it...

Keep up the good work. Longer videos! I drive a 76 K20 named Casper with the little ghost painted on the metal part of the dash near the ash tray. Its GM WA5256 light, baby blue, I think Ford used the same color around the same time.

Sounds like a awesome year coming up for Casper, looks like a great plan for the interior, always great to make the interior comfortable, great looking, and pleasing for the road trips and racing.

Andy, among the products ad techniques for keeping the patina you could do the old school technique of adding corn starch to the clean. Tom Cotter and the McPherson College did it on a Ford wagon a few years ago.

I posted earlier about engine systems building our motor it's a 427 small block Ford with the hammer heads it's built for nitrous and he got 1050 horsepower out of it and we are spraying a 650 shot of nitrous it runs DOWN in the 4s in the eight th mile

I guess the advantage of it being minus 12 F in Iowa is that you probably won't forget your jacket.

Just a rollbar? How about OUTSIDE the cab - so you don't bang your head on it when driving without a helmet. Of course, if you want downbars or a cross bar for a harness, that'd be difficult to get to work right without having it hug the inside back vertical corners of the cab and go through the roof in those 2 places. On of the things I don't like about roll cages on street cars is the danger of banging your head on them when not wearing a helmet.

Derek at VGG has a few options you might look into? he has an oil style and a couple of clear coats both gloss and satin. Just a thought...🤓

My wife’s 67 has one of those alloy pieces that Casper has on top of the door windows. What are they called as one is missing I need to replace It.

the truck will be awesome with the overdrive and transbrake. The shocks topping out is an easy fix, mopar super stock suspensions required using Chrysler imperial shocks (they were like 1 1/2" longer travel, or those cheesy shock extensions you saw on many mopar drag cars years ago. I have an easy performance improvement for the truck and for you - eliminate carbs, intermittent fast and go to one meal a day - I have lost 140 lbs. in a year so far (I was over 400 lbs). Just a suggestion and you will live longer and have more energy, and your knees will love you for it.

That body style works very well for all but hidden cages tucked up and out of the way. You can even keep the rear glass and have removable rear cage bars. Traction will probably depend on if you use a 240 or a 282 gear set in the trans. I would go with the 282, your 60 foot means everything in something that heavy.....
