This guy is talking total sense. Reveals our own biases and heuristics by various examples. Don't understand the hate comments at all

Using the housing bubble as an example of irrational behavior (herd mentality), he left out the availability of "stated income, stated asset" mortgages. It was GREED on the part of the loan makers that enabled people who couldn't afford the loans to get loans. He therefore erroneously put more of the responsibility on individual homeowners who refinanced so they could afford a Hawaii vacation than on the actual Too Big to Fail banks that bundled high-risk loans, causing the bubble to burst in 2007/'08. I know this because I lived it and also listened to a lot of NPR reports about the housing debacle.

I've sensed there was mass manipulation at play with certain things. It's now apparent from watching his views on certain issues which areas of our lives have been manipulated.

Requiring an opt-out from organ donation implies that one's body belongs to someone else first and they must request to maintain it as their own.

I'm from Sweden and I have never heard of private social security numbers. We did NOT get a book with 450 options. Harrison Ford has never been in the news or media here regarding any advertising in my 27 years. We do how ever see David Hasselhoff in a Swedish talk show, thats anything remotely from relevant to this but none the less closest to americans in Sweden doing anything media related. I kind of liked Cass talk all the way till the end when this came up and I did some quick research and came up empty. If anyone can find Harrison Ford in Sweden doing some type of commercial at all, share that please.

Wow - I am shocked by how much fear an loathing exists around these concepts. It is foolish to argue that all human beings make rational decisions (i.e. there would be no obesity, crime, or smoking). It is also foolish to argue that we are not influenced be the default options - these are clearly proven. So why are so many people attacking the person who is sharing that information? Because we attack what we cannot understand? Let go of your fear and open your mind ... you might be able to make the world a better place :-)

This "genius" should spend a couple of months in Argentina, where his "little intervention" and his "libertarian paternalism" have been executed for the last 70 years... not a shinny "future" for the retired. A whole life of "intervened-by- the-government-retirement-plans", to make U$S 2400... per year ... #thepretenseofknowledge
