A pretty rough day for a number of reasons. Chris Page suffers one of the nastiest looking crashes we've seen in a decade after nailing the pit entry wall drivers side first and suffering a broken pelvis in 3 places, yet miraculously surviving the experience. The impact delayed the racing for several hours and frankly looked like an explosive had gone off at Camp corner. His recovery will take some time and we'd like to link this GoFundMe page for anyone wanting to support him whilst he is out of work: gofund.me/ee975e68
We have included that crash and some of his own footage to show you just how bad it was and show just how important the preparation of your car needs to be, as these 1 in a million kinds of crashes are never an impossibility. We hope Chris is back on his feet again soon. Hospitals are a particular level of boring!
As for me, most of the cameras decided to fail for various reasons, and a new piece of catch fencing at Quarry corner has completely ruined the spectating spot that we've filmed at for a decade, resulting in a new place to have to film now that is if we're honest, just worse really. Shame to see one of the last great angles to shoot from in UK Motorsport meet its end. Perhaps the last time I film at Quarry? Sadly it might be so...
