Your videos have really opened my mind to the shore fishing opportunities here in Norway. The vast majority of information about fishing here is boat-based, and that's just not an option for me. While I often fish for sea trout in the local area there are times of the year when I want to try something different. I recently started travelling to the outer west coast (Bergen area) and fishing with heavier metals and sandeels. My question is: at what weight rod/lure do you start having to think about shock leaders between the main line braid and the leader? A video on your various spinning combos and knot/line/swivel/snap choices would be really help, if you get time.
@Billyfishing_watch2 жыл бұрын
Hi Joe, I have been thinking of a vid like that for some time now. But in the meantime, a 30/ 60 gram rod with a 15 kg mono rubbing leader of about a meter, would be perfect for the South of Norway. In the south, I have had Pollack up to 6kg and cod to 4 or 5kg. Fish on Brother 👍😁

@@Billyfishing_watch so pretty much anywhere along the entire coast is decent to good fishing? I’d love to catch the different species of wrasse, flatfish, etc. There are way more species to catch on that side of the pond.

Up north, it's many white fish, and down south, there are small sharks warsse, and other small fish like that. You can't go wrong

Hi billy can you let me know where you stay when you travel is it cheap accommodation which i don't mind but looking for maybe a house for me and family with a small boat in a decent fjord. i have fished andopy great fishing but you need a big boat and its desolate there massive fish had cod to 40+ also fished haugesund near oslo had cod there stayed with a mate
@Billyfishing_watch2 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, the best fishing is from Narvik up, I use air b&b, you will get something good after Christmas, as for a boat, you can rent them most places . I am a shore angler so not much use of them ,but any fjord around there is good, big cod every where, and lots of please too stay.👍
@riverebro2 жыл бұрын
just had a look from 32 euros a night is dam cheap could you recommend a lace with a boat by any chance
@Billyfishing_watch2 жыл бұрын
Sorry Dave, but I only fish from the shore, you will have problems getting a boat, most marina's rent them . Tight lines Brother 👍
