I feel like a lot of the people who seem to end up here likely have some degree of learning difficulties. Scams like this are looking for vulnerable people who will keep falling for the same trick over and over so the initial pitch is deliberately absurd to filter out anyone who isn't going to get sucked in. I have a brother who is a lot like this, actually. He doesn't come across as particularly slow or incapable but he is incredibly naive, does not learn from mistakes at all and doesn't think about how his actions affect other people.

Service member here... if you are injured you get sent typically to a hospital in Germany. Then you are sent all the way back to your base. I had to come home early and my flight was paid for... everything back to my station in the States. You are fed 3 meals a day or given MREs. Trust me the military isn't going to let you starve to death.

I am not a service member, but have done medical rotations at Water Reed and other veterans hospitals, and despite some government red tape… the care for US military members is top notch. I can’t quite understand how some people believe that deployed US soldiers rely on random Internet charity for food, lodging and medical care. Even if you have no connection to the US military, that makes no sense and would be front page news everywhere if true.

My dad served 25 years in the Navy and did eight tours of Vietnam. He was injured by a falling tree, had his leg crushed. He was indeed airlifted to Germany to have his lower leg pinned back together. As soon as he was able to walk unassisted, he was sent right back to Vietnam and continued fighting. I get the giggles when these women fall for the "I'm in the military but I need Apple cards to eat and can't video chat" bullpoo. The military takes care of everything for service members and video chat is indeed allowed. I guess the delusion is just too strong.

Amen! I dealt with a cheating husband for 42 years left after I found out I was dying because he was poisoning me. I was in hospital for two years with organ failure. I had to leave the state for protection & am doing very well on my own & love being on my own. In reality, You don't owe that person Anything at all. I don't feel sorry for any of them. I could care less they get scammed. Look at me I disability & special needs. Divorce courts exist to destroy families and divide men against women so that only the government is there to rely on and to enforce rules. Women like this one are literally the reason western civilization is going down the shitter. The reality is that women like here should dress modestly, plant a garden, sew, clean, cook, and organize her household... Not chatting with randos online, but as soon as you say that its "CunTRoLlinG". So in the end, fewer men end up getting married and women like her turn into pathetic spinsters selling feer pics in an already over saturated smut market.
