If you don't want to use Twinkies, you can use Angel food cake for a less sweet/ processed tasting dessert.

I made the same cake only decorated it like a flag. Using strawberry’s for stripes and blue berries for stars I took it to a 4 of July family gathering and when I showed them the cake they spontaneously stood up and pledged allegiance to the flag. And that triggered singing flag songs. It was a hoot!

Oh man, I had to chuckle while watching this.... I grew up with twinkies! Even though a twinkie is loaded with all sorts of "bad" goodness, sometimes you just have to ignore that and dive in to a tasty dessert like this! 😄👍

My dad made a different version of this over 20 yrs ago with pudding instead of the cream cheese and the sweetened condensed milk. He cut the twinkies in half length wise and had two layers of them, pudding, cool whip, fruit..and no pie filling. Little lighter and less sugar. It was extremely rich so i bet yours is shockingly gooey rich.😋 its good with strawberries and bananas like a cross between banana pudding and strawberry short cake. He has been gone 19yrs in nov...was nice to see this and brought memories.🙂

I like your version as well, with the pudding/ cool whip layers, along with the berries, layered with the Twinkie , makes for a more cohesive result

I'd like to check out the pumpkin recipe. I use Twinkies for pound cake and have strawberry shortcake.....add whipped topping optional. People think I am nuts for doing this. I love the chocodiles ( the chocolate dipped) .

Yummy! Love Twinkies! When I was a kid my Mom would make us strawberry shortcakes with Twinkies. She would just too them with sweetened fresh or frozen strawberries and cool whip. She will love this. Thanks for the delicious recipes 😋

I've done something similar with Twinkies, ( or broken up angel food cake) crushed-up Butterfinger candy bars, vanilla pudding, and Cool Whip.😍

Hello, I love watching your unique recipes, keep up the good work. Another recipe that is really good is you take Suzy Q's like you did with the twinkies and you take chocolate pudding instead of strawberries it is delicious. Yum!

Yum😊. Another alternative would be to mash up strawberrys and make a strawberry juice. Drizzle the juice over the twinkies and finish off as shown.
