Your Teaching of the Schism is a little off and you need to mention that there are 5 Patriarchates and the Pope of Rome split from the other 4. This has nothing to do with Russia and oligarchy as you mention. Please tell the people the truth. And also the Eastern Orthodox church is also Catholic just not Romam Catholic. They are Catholic and apostolic. Thanks for your time please feel free to discuss this further with me if you choose

Hello from a fairly new Greek Othodox. Your sermons and history lessons are a great enhancement to my faith. My husband and I went to Constantinople last year to physically explore our faith and you answer many issues not addressed. God has given you a great mind and heart to put this vast faith puzzle together for the devoted. And may it awaken the hearts of many to come to our saviour Jesus Christ. I can't speak to the many details your eloquence lays out yet I see movements on both sides to come together. In Christ, May in blessed. +

It would help if he gave accurate information. Common sense tells us that if there is one group with many bishops, and then that group divides into one group lead by many bishops, and one group lead by one bishop ... that one group following the one (Roman) bishop (i.e., the Catholics) is the one that split off from the large group lead by many bishops. Catholics broke off from the Orthodox!

I really, really, really loved this talk that you gave about the Orthodox church and the Catholic church. Would you ever consider doing a series based on each of the Catholic rites that show the similarities and differences between the Latin rite and each of the other rites. One of the reasons why I say this is because it would give a much more deeper/fulfilling explanation to the actual word "Catholic" and why it does mean "universal". I had a grandmother who was originally Ukrainian Catholic and when she married my grandfather who was Roman Catholic she just switched to the Latin rite without any problem. I like to think of her as a Catholic who had the best of both rites.

@@fredrickmulenga4245 Catholics don't worship angels only God, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Fr. Chris Alar did an entire talk about the angels. The reason why Catholics pray for the dead is so hopefully that soul enters into Heaven. It's like saying that if you died tomorrow you can no longer pray for yourself but friends and family who are still living can help pray that your soul gets to Heaven. The reason why we also pray to saints (but not worship them) is because they can help those still living on Earth. Praying to a saint to have them intercede for us is like you asking someone to pray for you.

This false Church withholds the cup of the blood of Christ from it's lowly and subjugated non-priest members. If the Eucharist is the blood of Christ than why do the Priests and Bishops still drink the wine? This is not trivial. You are commanded to drink from the cup. Either obey this ancient cult or Jesus Christ. See His instructions in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Matthew 26:27 ESV - And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, Mark 14:23 ESV - And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. Luke 22:17 ESV - And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. *

@@Ajaykumarr89 The Catholic Church was founded by The Son of God Jesus Christ. It is God-Made not man-made. Jesus Christ performed 36 miracles and 27 exorcisms in the bible He was also born of a virgin, a supernatural birth and died and rose again on the third day, then ascended into Heaven. All other religions their leader never rose again but died naturally and was born naturally, none performed miracles or exorcisms by their own power. He was also the only "prophet" that was mentioned before He would be born as a man on earth. Buddha said something like "their will one day be a King of Kings born onto the earth and He will be the Saviour of The human race". And I believe Moses prophesized Him too if I am not mistaken. Repent for the day of the Lord is near, I would hate for you to be unprepared.

Excellent presentation. One interesting point about Marian apparitions. They PROVE that the Catholic Church is the one true church for example at Lourdes,Mary reveals that she is the immaculate conception, yet the orthodox don’t necessarily support this. At Fatima, she acknowledges the primacy of the papacy. These and other apparitions are confirmed by great miracles.

Thank you so much Fr. Chris for the great presentation. The Armenian Orthodox Church is governed by two patriarchs, entitled Catholicos. One, Karekin II, is Supreme Patriarch for all Armenians and sits in Armenia. Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, which was once located in modern-day Turkey but since the Armenian Genocide relocated to Antelias, Lebanon, five miles north of Beirut. His jurisdiction includes the Armenians of the Middle East, Europe, and North and South America. As for us Armenian Catholics we are governed by our Catholicos who sits in Lebanon. Praying for the unification of all the Orthodox Churches to the one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
