There's a rapture...Jn 14: 1-4. Jesus talking about His father's mansion in heaven. Apostle Paul also said, that we live in this world but we are not of the world. Our final destination is in heaven! I appreciate that the presenter fixed part of the false doctrine that some Protestants believe. However, Catholics, as well as a good many Protestants, get the 2nd part wrong. The presenter himself noted that the Bible calls death a sleep. That is, there is no movement of a soul either up into Heaven or down into Hell. The Bible clearly indicates that when one dies you go back to the ground, as is written in Genesis. When Lazarus died, Jesus neither called him down from Heaven or up from Hell but simply said, "come forth." Even Jesus when He died the Bible clearly says rested in the tomb. The fictura that Pagans, Protestants, and Catholics believe is that there is a living thinking consciousness apart from the Body. The text in 1 Thessalonians does not speak of Jesus bringing souls from heaven DOWN because no one goes to Heaven when they die. It is referring to brining souls UP to God because they are asleep in the grave and are now resurrected. The dead know nothing, they are all asleep, waiting the resurrection.
