Canada finally has a full asbestos ban. But for years, the country has quietly exported the cancer-causing product to countries like India as this 2009 documentary shows.

WOAH! I visited Thetford mines in Quebec for a contract I had. I asked the locals back then about the big asbestos mines (as the entire city was built to house the people working the asbestos mines). They were saying the mines are closed and unless you mix it in your coffee, asbestos can't hurt you. I now watch this video over a year later and I understand where they're shipping it off to! DISGUSTING!

I had a friend from Canada . We both lived in florida she found out she had months to live she died with in a couple months she said a child they gave children clay in

I do this for living, I get freak out When we remove asbestos tile..I imagine that room full of asbestos.

my village is full of abstebos sheet in use from kitchen roof to public stands. no one knows anything even after they are educated and haveing a lot of money but its use currently has decreased and its availability also

Note that this is an old story. Canada's last asbestos mine closed in 2011 or 2012

Anybody else see the thing coming down the wall at 3.35 to 3.38. It on the left between where the two buidings are conected. What is that like?

CBC, in the future when you post an old documentary like this think you could put some "originally aired" thing in the actual video? People tend not to read the video descriptions.
