he said it himself he liked matt and that he would be rooting for him if he had not been in that season... so the plus side is that Russell was team Matt after his elimination. He was also a good sport to Rob and shook his hand at the finale. Russell is a good guy, just competitive.

Honestly I think he's playing a character when he's on survivor kind of like coach don't get me wrong I think the line between the real person and the character is very thin but a lot of the things that he does I think is just him exaggerating his personality especially in fans versus favorites you can tell by the way he smiles and laughs at a lot of the things he says and does but a lot of it is just Philip being annoying like him getting into the pool all dirty

Yeah honestly, the first time I ever watched survivor was heroes vs villains (the only season on Netflix at the time) and I was completely enamored with him and how good he was at the strategy and lying and stuff. When it was getting towards the end and I realized there was a jury I flipped my perception completely, because he was being so aggressive and mean for no reason with a jury at the end. But I’ve come to realize he’s just someone who had a very strong strategy game, and no social game, and we’ve seen winners that had the opposite

Even if he did come back, which will never happen, he would be an early boot. Like we saw in All-Stars and Game Changers, the better players get targeted early, and then we end up with mediocre finals.

Not even top 20. He was made a pet by Parvati, he was played by Sandra multiple times on HvV. He underestimated both his finalists and bring the 2 players that could beat him in a landslide. He should have bring somebody like Danielle or Jerry to the final because he would have some chances to win, although I still predict he would lose. However he eliminated Danielle simply because he was jealous. He played using his emotions not his brain. Then he choose Sandra over Jerry, when its obvious to everybody watching Survivor. Sandra would get all the votes from the Heroes, but he said Sandra would get none other than Courtney. His jury management is also the worse in history. A great player need to have a great strategy, need to know who his/her threat is, need to predict the unpredictable, need to not use emotions to win, not to be rude & arrogant, need to know how to manage their jury tip top. The only thing Russell have is great strategy, other than that he has none. Russell is not even top 20.

I mean Russell wasn't really working with his tribe around camp and on his first season he lowered morale by dumping out water and burning socks causing them to lose 8-10 challenges but, in hindsight if you're playing against Boston Rob you're gonna need Russell since he technically already beat Rob in HvV already.

Treating the tribe like shit so early in the game was a dumb move.
