This is a popular .22lr hunting cartridge from CCI. It's a hyper velocity cartridge, and it has a 40 grain hollow point copper plated bullet. Usually hyper velocity .22's have a lighter bullet like 33 grain, so the Velocitor has a little extra punch. I will be shooting it in my Tikka T1X with my Zeiss 6,5-20x50.

Some are sold out, or unavailable at the moment, but I have 70+ of these at hand already. I will use my Tikka T1X with a Zeiss Conquest 6,5-20x50. Shooting will mostly be done prone, but I will be using a shootingrest when available. Range is 50 yards. I will first run 10 shots over the chronograph to get an accurate velocity reading and prep the bore for the ammo I will be testing that day. I will then shoot five five shots groups to obtain an average group size. I will be dividing ammo into groups. They will be as follow; bulk, standard, match, high velocity, subsonic and specialtyammunition.
I'm looking forward to doing this test and share the results with you all!

Some of the best 22lr ammunition ever made in my experience. Very impressive for a 22lr on small game to coyote sized critters. Also acts like it's a bonded bullet for deep penetration and expansion. My favorite is Aguila Interceptor 40grn.

It is a channel called markandsamafterwork that does some impressive long range shooting with the Velocitor if I remeber correct. I`ve tried to get hold of the Interceptor, but it`s sold out everywhere in Norway right now.

This was my go to ammo years ago when I used a BSA Armatic semi automatic, I found them extremely accurate and shot very many Fox 🦊

My 22lr Ruger American hates this ammo at all distances between 50 and 150 metres, but is very accurate using CCI Blazers at the same distances. As they say some rifles like different ammo.

Best .22 round I have used been using them for almost 12 years there's nothing better yes nothing even the knew federal punch I'd still choose these cci's over them

I have not tried the Punch. They are not imported to Norway. But CCI usually does the job.

I just bought a Ruger Precision Rimfire rifle and I hope it likes CCI Velocitors as I have acquired alot over the years. Heavy and fast is the goal if we can be accurate.

If you can find a high speed that is also accurate it`s a win. I`ll do some more tests og hs ammo later.

Wow, that is really spread out. I was just trying out my T1X (16” barrel) the first time with a variety of ammo. The Velocitor actually beat SK match, Eley subsonic and Federal AE Suppressor. I only shot one group but got 5 shots within 0.65” or under 17mm at 50 yards.

Hi there I would have thought that that ammo would be more accurate than that at 50m , I did try them years ago in my CZ455 and remember that I wasn’t that impressed with them , I never tried but they may perform better at a longer distance say 100m plus , thanks for your time making the video Mate I love everyone that you make , Steve from Australia .

Hi! Thank you for watching! My experience is that .22s perform very differently in every gun, more so than centerfire. After I'm done with testing all the .22's I have bought I will do some more testing in different guns with the same cartridge. But this is a big job. So many guns, so many cartridges... And behind every 5 minute video there are many hours of work. Keep watching! GV

Usually get 2inch groups at 50 yards with my 10/22 and minimags. Id consider these results good. How much is attributed to the ammo vs the bolt action I am not sure. Thankfully I have some velociters to try this weekend.

It would be nice to see a direct comparison between the CCI Velocitor and the Aguila Terminator out of the same rifle on the same day. From what I gather from some is that the CCI is more consistent and closer to the claimed velocity and thus more accurate and more powerful than the Aguila.

Velocitor is availible in Norway, but Aguila is hard to find. I don`t think there are any importing Aguila at this time. If I get hold of any I will test them👍

Hi,nice video, did you remove the barrelsupport and whats the most accurate ammo for your gun so far ? Ps that ammolist of yours is incredible,i only tried 5-6 different so far in my T1x, seems to like CCI standard the most so far. Ds

Hi! Thanks for watching! Yes, I did remove the barrelsupport, and I did get a little improvment in accuracy. My rifle likes SK very much, Long range and Rifle Match especially, and the Tenex performs well also. Luckily for me it also likes CCI standard, which my wallet is very grateful for! The ammolist has gotten even longer. I have got hold of 10-15 more of older ammo, so I have many, many more videos to make. GV

I've started watching some of your 22LR reviews for the T1X, very well done!. What is the best ammo to date that you have found for the T1X? It would be nice to see some sort of side-by-side comparison table or something similar.

I will do more X vs Y ammo testing in the future. Right now I have to much ammo to test😳. I have very good results with SK rifle match and SK Long range. I usually do better than what you see in my tests of them, but I don`t cherrypick groups when I make my videos. Also Eley Tenex, Match and Team performs well. I haven`t made any videos of them yet. Hi , would you say that all the varieties of high velocity ammunition are not that accurate ? It seems to look that way from watching various you tube channels. On paper the ballistics look good as the trajectory is very flat but i would be afraid to use them for hunting if the accuracy is not there.

Hi! It seems that the higher the velocity, the larger the group size. In my experience the spread and Standard deviation tends to be larger on high speed ammo. Usually the bullets are lighter too, so the twist rate becomes wrong. I would probably go for a slower and more accurate cartridge. But as I usually say, do some testing and maybe you will find a high speed that is accurate in your rifle. Thank you for the question!
