You've gotta react to (g)i-dle OMG, Tomboy, and Lion. I think those 3 + Nxde are easily their best most symbolic videos - mainly because their leader Soyeon had a direct hand in writing, producing, composing, and creative directing the songs and MVs. She's a genius, she really is!

The director of the music video said that they talked a lot with Soyeon on how to portray the message because she's like the creative director of the group which is so cool seeing how involved a girl group is with all aspects of their art

One reason for making ‘nxde’ was to prevent child phornography. Child in Korean sounds similar/same (not sure) as gidle (name of the group). So if psychos wanted to search child pornography they would search “gidle nude” and it will show the song and not the actual phornography. Hope that everybody understands.

The thing about Leaves of grass is that it was a huge deal back when it was written, often described as overly sexy etc. Just like Marilyn Monroe was sexualized, so was the book! The author got huge critique for it at the time, but what they're trying to show is that there is a lot more to it than just the "provocative" stuff.

A fact about nxde, the song was both made to show that Marilyn wasn’t just for sexiness but for a girl named soojin who left (G)I-DLE bc of rumours (soojin loved Marilyn monroe) and the girl most people think is Marilyn looks more like soojin, the facial structure and the mole under her eye, it can’t be a coincident.
