I never rode the hype train going into the launch, nor did I ride the hate train after the launch. No preorder, no refund. Gonna play it 6 months later, when everything is fixed and the get Cyberpunk experience that the hype train people were expecting. Now that's a Pro Gamer move.

I bought it on ps4. Obviously it didn’t go well and I returned it. Bought it on pc, with a i5, 16gb ram and a 3gb 1060. It runs literally twice as good.

I'm breaking my firm "never, EVER comment on youtube" rule just to tell you that this is the best take on Cyberpunk 2077 I've seen so far, anywhere. Bravo.

Nobody is going to learn a damned thing and we all know it. Remember that steam group made to boycott a game and then on release day everyone in that group was playing the game? It was either a COD or Battlefield game. Either way.... we've reached a point where nothing hyped correctly will ever fail.... people want to be hyped and they will jump right on that hype train no matter how disappointed they are left. Over and over again.

I love you guys. As someone who is a 3D animator and has seen the hard work people put into these games. And the absolute love and passion they pour over them. I am always saddened when people jump the gun and blame the artists. Thank you for being a voice for them. They deserve more and I can't wait to try the proper ps5 version when its released (and when I am able to get a ps5 since I was laid off due to covid shit...sigh). You guys are the best. Merry late Xmas and Happy Holidays. Here's hoping 2021 is all kinds of better!

We all started watching Girlfriends Reviews for the funny jokes and outsiders perspective on video games. We stuck around for the fabulous writing, editing, and insightful analysis.

Can we all just hold up a minute and give credit to Matt's improvement in the voice "acting"? He got sooo much better in pronunciation, timing and intonation, I love it!

This is exactly how I feel about this game. CDPR when they released the Witcher 3 had to give a graphically downgraded version so that the game could run on consoles and got destroyed for it. So when they went all out showing us what their game engine is capable of, the consoles couldn't handle it. Even for initial delay, they were thrashed around and when they had a choice to let the game out; even when it wasn't ready and a delay would've been better, they gave in to fear of the backlash. CDPR just couldn't win.

Thank you for this. I have also been playing on a decent PC and have been having a blast. It hurts my heart that a game made with such love was mishandled in such a way as to turn people against it.

You can tell there was a lot of content the developers wanted to add and even planned out that they just couldn't get into the current version of the game because people were losing their goddam minds at this game's delays already (the blame here actually lands on the corpos at CDPR, not the developers or most of the customers). A railway system actually exists but the players can't utilize it. There is cyberware that cloaks you in the official guide and dialogue in the game but nowhere to be found in the actual game. I'm pretty sure the devs planned from day 1 to have players be able to change their appearance in game but like so many features there just wasn't enough time to put it in. I'm torn. I have a decent PC and so far 2077 has been my favorite gaming experience this year. But, at the same time, I feel like they should have delayed it another year. Hell, they shouldn't have announced it so early in the first place.

This game was something else. I loved it and didn’t like it at the same time. Like… it was fulfilling and not satisfying at the same time.

As someone who’s playing on PS4, this review is perfect. It calls out the right ppl (bad management and toxic haters) while also recognising the release flaws but also recognising the huge potential of the game

Sorry guys love your content but I disagree on this one. This game was not finished, on console or PC, and was clearly rushed out for the Christmas window. Additionally this game was marketed for the ps4, xbox one and even the google stadia, I understand the challenges that comes with but it is in no way the consumer's fault for buying a next gen game that the devs advertised would work on last gen material. CD projekt red should never have advertised this for last gen consoles but they did because they wanted to extract as much money as possible, so yes it is their (specifically the businessman who no doubt pushed this decision) fault No consumer deserves to be lied to and sold an unplayable mess for $60. That said I don't think anyone with a decent degree of common sense is blaming the devs, everyone knows it's the businessman that did this to the game

The employees had to go into crunch for a long time to meet deadlines and even then it couldn't all be fixed. This is management's fault for treating their workers like crap and pushing unreasonable deadlines and the fan's fault for putting pressure on the company to release the game sooner. (Mostly management though)

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE GAME

They promised to deliver a properly working game before the ps5 or series x was teased. That is the simple truth. They had been working on it for years, so obviously they had to have managed to get it working reasonably well on old hardware. It wouldn't have looked great, but the glitches should have been minimal. A game that doesn't look as good but plays reasonably well vs a game that looks good but hardly plays, I'd rather have a good playing game. They took their time, they had the plans and they were ready. Obviously, the higher-ups were in control, but it's not like the developers were given an impossible task. Over 7 years of planning and execution and this is the result. There is no nice way to put it. They cheated us. We are also to blame, but it does not make up for the failure, or rather the loss of potential of this game. Obviously, don't threaten them with death threats(and you'd be an idiot to think that some random death threats would actually cause the game to be released). But don't excuse them for their mistakes either.

Gotta love the more serious content on this channel. The humor is good and all but these people are brighter than they often let on and it really shows in some vids. Great stuff guys!

I got this game at launch and played on my PS4 Pro and it was beyond unplayable. I came back to it a few months ago on PS5 and while it was still buggy as hell (which is insane after like 2 years of patches), I was able to at least play through the whole thing and it was super fun! Not amazing, but really good. Such a shame about the technical side. It's borderline unforgivable.

I just have a small hope of a "Cyberpunk 2077: directors cut edition/update" I,mean thats what the witcher 2 enchanced edition is and many other ganes have realesed a direcotrs cut whit new content and mecanics, dont know, a guy can only hope

Thank you so much for releasing this. It really highlighted the real problem where the higher ups in companies keep over promising, setting unrealistic deadlines and making really really poor decisions. And it keeps happening with games. I didn't mind too much about the bugs and the game worked well on my PC... I'm just waiting on my NVIDIA 3080 GPU to come in stock so I can play in the next gen graphics. But the features that were in the original gameplay reveal aren't in the game.. and they were what I was looking forward to. Apparently you were able to interact with all of the NPCs, see how they go about their day/night cycles... And you could come across NPCs just in the general World and so sidequests or interact with them. And the illusion of choice they give us... Rather than we were supposed to be able to carve our own path, our own stories... Other than the main story itself. When you select your street life or corporate personality responses... The dialogue gets interrupted and the decision made for you. That part is the most disappointing and frustrating. They said one thing in the trailer and then either made the decision against doing that or corporate thought it would be easier to just make it appear like they gave us full RPG storytelling and choice. And I agree. I'm not disappointed in the people that made the game. I'm disappointed in the ones that made the decisions for the game coz ultimately it was a lot of bad decisions, decieving and lies to the players... And probably it's own team of creators as well. I think if we can do away with pre-orders, if companies can be upfront if they make changes to what was originally promised or presented to us players... And if there are still bugs then add another year. Not another couple of months.. But just go with the year... Then it's one time to make the delayed state and everyone will be fine... Rather than ever couple of months pushing back. At that stage that means there is something still wrong and needs to be fixed. So just push it to the next year instead of "oh another couple of months". Final fantasy 7 remake was pushed back to a couple of years after it already took years to make and the company gave it's reason and apologized for the delay but promised it would be worth it. And it was released pretty much flawlessly. Once game companies change the way they do things... And the heads of the companies start treating it's staff and it's player base better then we shouldn't have many issues.

It's still important to understand that the glitches aren't only overshadowing the good, but also the bad. For example the police and the civilians SUCK. No flying cars. The player character looks funky. And the game could definitely use some optimising so it wouldn't crash on anything but a good pc. All these problems because the programmers were rushed.

Out of all of this, I really hope developers learn from CDPR's mistake and stop crunching their goddamn employees. If CDPR can crunch for a full year before release and still have Cyberpunk 2077 still release as this buggy, unfinished mess then there's truly no excuse for this practice anymore

This was hands-down my most favorite review I've found yet of Cyberpunk. Thank you for not jumping on the hate bandwagon and actually giving it a fair review. I, too, LOVE this game and feel frustration towards the constant negative it receives.

Been playing since day one on (almost) high end PC and I was loving it. I only had t pose and clipping glitches on rare occasions, so wasn’t understanding why people were upset with the game, until I played it on my brothers ps4 😬.

This was a wonderful Christmas gift. I really enjoyed your commentary and hope that despite all the controversy, the developers are having a Merry Christmas.

Yeah I played on PC and didn't have a problem. Only ever had one glitch and it was a piece of the floor going invisible for a couple seconds.

Loved this review. Got lucky with playing it PC, but most of my friends have been returning it until they can play it in a healthy state. Hopefully next gen consoles will, one day, get in stock.

My man, its worth mentioning they originally conceived the idea for last gen, they reworked it to a fault for next gen.

I'm playing it right now on the Series S, and other than one crash during a mindless side mission, it's been working fine and the world looks amazing. The storyline is fantastic and while I'm no fanboy of CDPR, I do appreciate that there is company still focused on making single player games in a world where most AAA developers are focused on the sweet sweet juices of multiplayer gaming.

fun fact about the stadia version of cyberpunk. from someone whos played both versions (pc and stadia) i can say that the stadia version is better and the reason for this is because cdpr hired a different company to port it to stadia (cuz crunchtime) so if you got a refund on playstation but still want to play cyberpunk get it on stadia.

I loved Cyberpunk2077. 90 hours of fun, mind you it was on PC ❤️
