@sischo79 I have to use the external sound card in order to access 2 seperate channles on the mixer. If I had two cdj 2000 then I would be using the pioneer sound card.

@DJPowersXD If your using the CDJ with a time code you can't see the wave format, but if you use as a midi controller you can.

@djbigjavi66 I use the loop fuction through my cdj 2000, it works in conjuction with VDJ, so to answer your question, yes!

@sischo79 It's not a complete waste of money, like he says in the video it's a lot more responsive than with timecode and for Atomix that's a really good thing. I do see your point but something like the "Needle Search" on 2000s or "Slip Mode" on The 900s would be of a fair bit of use in MIDI applications. I'm Planning To Progress through the 850, 900 and 2000 with the primary application being control like this Over Atomix and Traktor.

@jackdee15 If your only using the one deck I beleive you have to use an external sound card because the signal has to be routed to indicate two decks.

Well said Dean! I've had glitches with VDJ too but I still chose to stick with it cause of its interface. Also once I hooked it up to an external asio soundcard, it seemed to work much better. Very informative video, love it!

Yes you can set your 350's up in the same manner.

@DJKellaTV no they would not its up to you what software you use not them.. i used it for few my first gigs now im using serato as i have a controller that its licenced for..

@LongWayz713 With my latest updates the two are running great together. I will somethimes get a VDJ jitter (the song will play, but the screen will freeze up for a few seconds and then correct itself). The problem is not that serious and does not effect play. But with all that being said I don't know that i would feel 100% with VDJ in a live setting.

@AJ90NI You know I don't know, but I would assume that you can because I have seen other people changing the color and keep it stationary. Sorry, not much help.

@peacemakerdfl You bet. I would recomend that you buy 1 CDJ 400 and a with the remaining cash spread it out to buy a cheap mixer mixer, some headphones and a maya 44 sound card (buy off ebay). This way you can use your 1 CDJ 400 to control both decks in the VDJ program. The CDJ 400 is a great buy. Right now I'm selling some Gear on ebay, I'll post the links below.

@Djdeanthomas Ok, thank you for your reply. Actually I can't understand why you do need to use external sound-card and you don't use built-in CDJ-2000 sound-card that is far better that the former. i think it's a wasting of money to use such a CD player only like external midi controller.

Hey mate, thanks for the video. I am a Traktor - Controller DJ (sorry guys) BUT i am looking to play somewhere with CDJ's and Virtual DJ - will or can they have 2 decks through virtual DJ linked to the appropriate channels- decks on VDJ? Does it have an Auto SYnc just incase?

No you shouldn't have that issue with the 2000. I have a sneaking suspicion that the S7 sound card is causing you issues or it could be a config issue with the S7 sound card and VDJ. The CDJ 2000 sound cards are meant to be used with all dj programs.

@peacemakerdfl Numark is not the best name and they are not tested for long term use. This could be a good set up for short term use. I personally don't like Numark I find there gear breaks and is not well made, but thats just me. Again this could be a good short term solution.

Oh my goodness everyone needs to calm down...VDJ is not that bad. I would not use it in the club, but I liked the interface so I stuck with it for a while. I'm currently using Traktor Scatch. Fuck everyones a critic...it doesn't matter what gear you use if you know how to use it properly.
