Watching this in 2022 and this video is giving me all sorts of 2009 vibes. I love it. I just ordered a used DDM-4000 and can't wait to put it to use. It's a total secret gem from Behringer. It's got functions that mixers now are only starting to roll out. I love that you can run dual sources on each input too. That's just insanely awesome and totally makes sense. Why has no other manufacturer done this before?! This is probably the best video review I've seen of the DDM-4000 so thank you!

I did find the switch, but it isn't in a convenient location for easy on/off. Especially if you rack mount your mixing board it would be a problem to access.

I have an old analog mixer I bought in the late 70s, but it probably was built in the late 60s. I've been having problems with it so I bought the DDM 4000. The first thing I found troublesome, was the on/off switch wasn't obvious. There are a bunch of switches for the effects, but I didn't see the power on off switch listed in the instructions. Pulling the plug is not the way I prefer to cut power.

Great video but how do you connect the GRD wire of the turntable to the GRD of the ddm4000 mixer

The problem is, since the thing is so old, the videos are of really bad quality. it would be time to make new videos, because there is nothing comparable in the price range

Effects can be applied without using DJ Software. Played it on analog for a year before using Traktor and Serato.

I can truthfully say that if you're not extremely heavy handed and use this mixer with som degree of love and care, it will last you for years. I'm a pro DJ and I'm all Pioneer, and have been since the mid 90's, but at the end of the 2000's I started a business and I really wanted the DJM-800, but I just couldn't afford one. My DJM-500 started to get pretty worn out after 14 years of use so I had to get something, and that something was the DDM-4000. I had it as my primary mixer for a couple of years and after that it's been used off and on at home and I've lend it to other DJ's a number of times. Now +11 years later, the only thing that has thrown in the towel is the bass boost button for the head phones, or it has just clogged up because I don't use it. I have the Pioneer over ears head phones with enough bass, but sometimes the highs need a little push, and that button still works. I think it was the first DJ mixer with frequency buttons for the effects. Pioneer didn't have one until the DJM-2000 that came out in 2010, and no other mixer from Pioneer had it until the NXS2 and the 750 MK2 came out in 2016/2017. Even the DJM-750Mk2 is three times the price of a DDM-4000. It still is the only DJ mixer with a dedicated XLR sub out. If Behringer released a DDM-4000Mk2 with a build in sound card, dedicated filter knobs and few other tweaks and improvements, they could double the price, and it would still be the mixer with the best value on the market.

How does it work with MIDI? I got a Roland VT-4 voice transformer with midi to goto the kaoss pad for looping vocals, so this seems perfect for being the center piece of a setup to control the BPM... I have a lot of uses for it now that I think about it
@dj-peterofficial2753

@@ghost_in_the_robot Sorry I can't give you a good answer as I'm not using midi gear at all. But, it has all three midi in, out and through, so it should be able to implement just about any midi gear. My DJM-800 only has one midi jack for a limited experience. I remember there was a very comprehensive folder explaining all the possible midi mapping that can be done with the DDM4000. If you get a used mixer, ask for that one. My DDM4000 is still going strong and is currently serving as my master audio hub, where I have 3 channels dedicated for my computers and one for when I hook up my DJ gear. It's on 24/7.

Why is that a bad thing? The dude is on point and a lot of what he has stated has been stated by other analysts. If they chopped out Luke and Anikin for more Ray and Rose its not going to be a good film. The aim of this film should be to repair and tie everything together. Not continue the Super Ray story line. Ray the Jedi with no training, more powerful than any Jedi or Sith ever. Its sloppy writing and I'm pissed off about it. We as the fans deserve more that a generic film about girl power.

Hello, I am having trouble getting the volume faders to work on my DDM4000. I dumped the previous setting the original owner had and then I lost functionality of the volume faders. Also, are there any good tutorials on how to program this mixer, the user manual does not explain much. Thank you. Francisco

A mixer with a 30 sec SAMPLER, oh shit thats cold. Did you look at the price for the Pioneer DJM T1?? 1.5K(with NO effects).. ddm4000 = $400 Thats 1/3 my income a month compared to a whole months pay. INSANE! I got it used for $180 on Ebay bitches. Oh yazz mu fu!!

people who are paying 1500 pounds for a mixer are insane. pioneer have overpriced their stuff unless you are making that a month minimum as a dj I can't see the point. spoken to a few dj suppliers they said this ddm4000 is one of their most popular mixers. I think it's getting a bit gay I've seen djs with very cheap stuff and they're better than these guys who have thousands of pounds of kit. seems like the people who have no skill need expensive equipment to give themselves credibility. I know a guy who's making a grand a month doing parties with nothing more than a 50 quid laptop and a second hand set of speakers. goes to show all this look at my labels I got is getting a bit anal 😝 bottom line who fkn cares if it's got pioneer or fairy washing up liquid on the side if it works why pay a months wages for something that you can get for a 3rd of the price that does exactly the same thing 😋

I just won it on Ebay for $152 for 30 shipping, I cant fucking wait till I hook my Microkorg, Kaoss pro and Kp3, as well as Midi Launchpad on the soundcard out. This shit is so underated. Fucking crazed for real. I got behind on my rent and I never dont pay my bills. This is my happiness for sure. So excited about this cheap piece that should be a solid 1K in price for the bang. This piece of shit is far from a low end chunk of hardware from the research i've done. Pioneer is just an expensive name and I would have had to get a DJM3000 to be happy. This stomps the NOx series for sure. Fucking exstatic about this on its way!! Its got full programming, crossfade versatility, a large effects bank, SAMPLER!!! WTF!!! I Got a 10 foot boner right now.

My buddy had the same issue. His shit the bed after 6 months, mine is still running strong. Behringer makes products that are good bang for your buck, but very inconsistent when it comes to quality control. You should have a 1yr in store warranty. I would take it back and exchange it for a different mixer.
@Djdeanthomas
@Djdeanthomas 11 жыл бұрын
No you shouldn't have that issue with the 2000. I have a sneaking suspicion that the S7 sound card is causing you issues or it could be a config issue with the S7 sound card and VDJ. The CDJ 2000 sound cards are meant to be used with all dj programs.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner...its been a bit crazy lately. You can use this mixer with tracktor, it is traktor certified...but heres the deal, its a decent mixer but will not stand up over a long period of time. The general rule of thumb...the more expensive (depending on brand name) the longer it will last. For example, if you were to buy a Pioneer or Allen & Heath or a Denon etc, those mixers would last you a life time...take alicking and keep on ticking.
