If it's more then $700 a piece they won't go anywhere anytime soon simply because you can get the best TT's on the market cheaper. If they make it $1000 they'd compete with the Denon 3900s which are beast in their own rights. You want people to buy... Make them affordable

I'm a tech-house - progressive house Dj and I know I'm late, but I'm finally moving from using Discs to using a USB. I am very satisfied with this piece of equipment and the most interesting parts would have to be the slip mode function, together with the looping cuts. It is truly an incredible thing to have all your music on one single USB and the tag list is what is going to be a game changer for me, you can prepare all your bombs while you play your first song for the whole night and create incredible sets! No need to burn style oriented discs anymore since you can have playlists no need to look over all your discs and point out which songs are hot for a particular night at the club. I enjoy the familiar pioneer quality feeling and the controls placement, it feels like an upgrade from my CDJ1000 mk3. The only disappointment I have is that of the screen, the one on the nexus doesn't tilt like I've seen on the 900, which is a real pain in the ass... they probably did so that it wouldn't look so much like a CDJ 2000. I'm gonna miss the silver buttons and light rings around the cue and play as well. I hope technology doesn't catch up that fast again in a good while!!

The Sync button is just a tool you CAN use, so you can focus more on other parts of your mix. I see many DJ's who only focus on their beatmatching and never look at the audiance which may not like the playlist you setup at home...You are there for the audiance and not the other way around.

+Erwin Roosenstein that's ridiculous mate , if you can't beat match you shouldn't be a dj , that's the whole point of being a dj to be able to keep everything in time and be a able to focus on other things at the same time , every dj should be able to mix vinyl as standard auto sync is cheating no matter how you dress it up bro .

+James Murray READ please. I write: " a tool you CAN use " not " SHOULD use ". Actually I know how to beat match with vinyl and am able to hear the right key. Nowadays you hear beatmatched mixes (even recorded ones on Soundcloud) where the key clashes all the time, but the beat matches. In those cases I totally agree with you. These people are not worthy the be called " DJ ". Have a nice day and enjoy the music !

Hey I wasn't talking about you personally , I just learnt to mix on vinyl before all the sync stuff was around , it seems a bit pointless just pressing sync lol takes all the fun out of it , there's obviously a lot more to mixing then just beat matching , like you said getting it in the right key also, every dj should be able to do this I reckon half of the dj's now days would have a panic attack if you put a pair of 1210s in front of them lol

In my opinion, if your beatmatching skills are underdeveloped to the point where your crowdreading suffers, or you struggle to switch playlists in time to avoid losing the floor, you need more practice at home anyway

Yes indeed Pioneer CDJ's are expensive, but they are top of the class! They're high-end stuff!! It's like a Gibson Les Paul is more expensive than other guitars and that is cause it's so much better.

Man, I would love to have a full Pioneer 900 nxs set :D (2x Cdj 900Nxs and a djm 900 nxs) but I can't afford it :( This upgrade of the cdj 900 just looks way to awesome :o PIONEER YOU GO!

Really looks nice, especially the new screen! But what I really dont like, that the display isn't tilted like the 900s before or the 2000s. Also the new buttons look really cheap.

Spot on. These things are ridiculously over-priced, and the build quality (made in the Orient) is poor. Pioneer U.K. has terrible customer service. The attitude is like on The Simpsons: "If I break, buy a new one.". The CDJ 1000 Mk 3 did everything that you need. With the 2000 and this model, it's all automatic. Who needs a DJ? Might as well stick in an 80 minute CD and leave the booth.

Awesome CDJ! Whats bad about that sync button? Nothing! The only pitty is that there are no hot cues. It's a shame, hot cues I think their really important because their usefull. Awesome anyways!

Guessing that Pioneer DJ, are going to announce the NXS2 of this player around the same month of this being announce this year and hopefully along side with the DJM-2000NXS2 announcement. If not the CDJ-900NXS2 then it will most probably be the XDJ-2000 alongside there mother-ship Mixer :D.

Yay! Now I can get my 4 year old to mix with that stupid fucking sync button. Why waste time making the deck work for people who can't mix, when you can spend that time making it have better functionality for people who can mix?

Vadim Alexeyev I never said you couldn't. But it's much easier to be a good DJ with beat sync and visualisation than it is counting bars and beat matching. No need to be a prick about it.

I also disagreed with it as I had to learn to DJ with my ears on vinyl years ago. I know people felt the same way when the bpm detection was released, and truly that is nearly as much of a cheat. But since buying some CDJ 2000nxs players and breaking my train of thought towards the option, my sets have become more diverse and I save the time to use elsewhere in my sets. There is much more involved to the modern DJ then just being able to beatmatch two tracks together and the use of the sync function is a great tool if you want to get more intricate in your sets. The great thing is you dont have to use it if you dont like it :-)

Christo 3lektric I enetered this world when beat detection and sync both were already there. As a result I began by using remix decks and samples, and was never worried my sound is off because I could "see" if it is off. Yet I do not use the sync bottom (unless I am mixing in a 2 bar sample with a drastically different tempo). I find syncing is for ppl who do not understand keys and. tempo and just want to think they are on beat. If you are mixibg a good mix with or without sync you sound the same. There is much more to DJ-ing than moving from one track to another BUT a crappy dj still will sound choppy and off even with the sync.

it doesn't offer hot cues but you can set cue points and store them in memory, either in rekordbox or live.

i own 2 of these and the only real difference is the hotcues but who really uses them for more than 2 mins. u really got cue memory so.... the bpm analyse of ordinary cds is really accurate aswell.

Please make a small format cd player, get rid of the networking and sync, give us smaller lit jogs, and HOTCUES .... fader start would be good... slip is great... this should be doable, and given the price of recent controllers, should be in the $400-600 range... I'd buy a pair and a Pioneer mixer to boot if they sere like $399-499... to go with my DDJ-SR(next controller), and Pioneer monitor speakers(I like the not yellow drivers...LOL) ... I have always loved Pioneer, home audio, car audio, and now aspire to a bunch of Pioneer DJ gear.... Please give us a good small CD player, and make it a CDJ for the masses.....with a lack of player to player networking, or MIDI, or whatever else, an affordable solution should be totally doable, and would appeal to many beginners, DJs looking for practice gear for home, and mobile DJs... hit me up and let me know if this is a possibility for a future release, as I'd hate to get something else and then "hey that Pioneer gear you wanted, it's here now", after I already had compromised on something else...LOL BUT SERIOUSLY! NO CUE POINTS????

Does anybody else realize when there talking about the Quantize master and sync at approximately 3:20 they don't move the crossfader? How does that work?
