Conclusions:
This has been an interesting journey. The version 1.0 pair cost me about $140 to build a year and a half ago. The current driver and parts cost is around $228. Still not too expensive for what these small speakers can do. I am pleased with the final product, but to give full disclosure I do have a couple of gripes:
-They are still a little hot in the treble range. I just did not want to put a larger resistor on the tweeter circuit(27.5ohm) because it started to really alter the midrange and upper bass as well.
-They are a 4 ohm speaker. They challenged my little Topping MX3 amp. It did not clip but I had to go up to 80% volume to get some reference near field levels.
