I admire your mom's patience and enjoyed cooking Filipino food which she enjoyed eating too. She's very sweet. I suggest not to boil bihon but just soak it in water for a few minutes then drain to obtain a good texture. First sautee garlic, onions and chicken or pork or prawns which ever you prepared . Put some water, soy sauce, black pepper and let it boil then put the bihon. Stir a bit and add the veggies like beans, carrots, celery and cabbage at the end to retain its crunchiness. Adjust the taste by adding chicken buillion or salt or fish sauce for flavor. Stir it for 5 to 10 mins.till it cook. Ready to serve with lemon juice.
