Theatre-trained actress Celeste Holm joined TCM in 1995 to discuss her career in Hollywood working at 20th Century-Fox under Daryl F. Zanuck, getting her breakout role in Oklahoma! (1943), fighting for her role in The Snake Pit (1948), working with Bette Davis and winning the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar for The Gentleman's Agreement (1947).

Always knew Celeste Holm was a fabulous actress and a real beauty , but, had NO idea she was such a fantastic storyteller! MARVELOUS interview!

I met The Great Celeste Holme in line at Fairway’s on Broadway and 74th around 1984. She was ahead of me in line not paying attention. I said, “Excuse me, you’re next.” She turned and looked at me. And then I said, “Those eyes! You’re Celeste Holm!!!” And she replied, “Yes, I am she.” And we shared small talk.

Bette Davis being rude to Celeste Holm was a surprise to me. When the interviewer said, "You sure couldn't tell from your performance, you could've been the best buddies." To which Ms. Holm laughed and said "such good actresses!" but then quickly added, "Ahh, you know but I think if that had not been true it would've been better!" That absolutely broke my heart.

I could have watched and listened for hours more. She just takes you into her world. I recently watched her here, on KZfaq, in "Champagne for Caesar". Luminous and sparkling.

She's still making people's lives better ... in this interview. I loved her revelation of Bette Davis's rudeness -- her honesty. Ironically, Davis was sked a similar question about who was he rudest she'd worked with -- she replied Faye Dunaway,.

Absolute class act woman and actress. Beautiful, elegant, intelligent, super talented, a brilliant storyteller and she seems so down to earth and kind. Celeste Holm is a legend.
