I'm a bit smitten with June after seeing this- she is just adorable! what a sweet little human! I feel bad for her that she is so warm and charming and sharing such wonderful stories to an interviewer who seems to be made of brick. I mean she got NOTHING back from her whatsoever. Not even a giggle. Seriously you might as well have had a robot voice asking questions. I would LOVE to sit down with June and have a hot chocolate and just listen to her stories.

I notice that too, who was the interviewer? And I also notice her asking her about Joan Blondell who hates June Allyson. Not to pleasant interviewer, more in the cold side. Maybe is me, because I like June Allyson.

June Allyson was one of MGM Studio's biggest stars. She was Judy Garland's only threat. Altho June was a good friend of Judy. June Allyson could do dramatic roles as well as Comedies and musicals. She had personality and carisma with a capitol "P".

I love June, but let's be real: she may have been used by MGM as a 'threat' to Judy, but she never, ever was in terms of talent.

Judy could do dramatic roles really well, too. Check her out in Judgement at Nuremberg. Both beautiful actors who filled different MGM nitches.
@brianoyler706

@@sandramorey2529 the only straight, dramatic role Garland did at MGM was The Clock 1945 with Robert Walker. Judgement At Nuremberg was United Artists 1961. June Allyson was a musical and dramatic talent. She could sing, dance and act. She had a very good marriage to Dick Powell until his death in '63. Judy Garland's ups and downs in her personal life are what propelled her to this legend status. June, on the other hand, had a more normal life. Definitely no substance abuse!!

Lovely to hear from this unassuming but long lasting star of the golden age. A weird lack of reaction to some of June’s observations by the so-called interviewer! She doesn’t seem to listen at all, Lea I g an awkward silence when June finishes telling a story or worse offers up some humour.

This is great I’m a massive fan of June Allyson have nearly all her movies.. Not only do I love the movies she did with Van Johnson, I adore the three movies she did with Peter Lawford interestingly they had a fling and Peter Lawford was apparently quite upset when they broke up. Would love to have seen her in the film version of Because of You with Jeff Chandler instead of Lorretta Young, but alas there is only a radio play of it with her and Jeff Chandler.🥲😉

To movie lover it was the film that had the famous words Christopher Columbus. But these faces before another face back in 2019 knew her famous words. It was Jo March who in this literary book tell the story about four girls and their mom and Katherine Hep burn and June Allyson said these few words while we're watching television about the girl slipping and sliding to see the house where her fiancée experienced the house doesn't compared to grandfathers. We can see the film Little Women with Wynona Rider, Kirsten Dunst, Trini Alvarado, Samantha Mathis, Claire Dance and headed up was Susan Sarandon when the two famous word of that film air with host Alicia Malone who we asked about three remake not 2017 and 2019 that goes for Cinemax, HBO and other movie channels. That 1994filmstart today at noon. Other remakes are for Tuesday and Thursday. Sometimes when we don't say these two words. it reminds us about the man who discovered America. Sure she doesn't say two words when at the dance and the theater. Warner Bros Pictures has this. We'll see these two remakes when 2021 TCM Classic Film Festival and Classic Cruise opens up after covid-19 ends. Holy Oliver Twist, great Turner Broadcasting System. Oh WarnerMedia.

She may have dentures by this time in her life . But June always wore those horrible , bright white , retainers in her films . All those actresses from the 40's -- 60's , wore those horrible things . UGH !!! I think Joanne Woodward was the only actress who refused to wear those terrible , things . Katherine Hepburn wore them early on but stopped , once she became an established star . I can't watch some of the older , actresses in certain films because those fake tooth coverings are so distracting .
